A full kitchen with dishwasher, propane cooktop, electric stove, microwave oven, and plenty of counter space and cabinets. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. A covered deck off the front of the cabin provides some shelter for outdoor meals or sitting. A small deck off the loft upstairs is an easy way to get a quick breath of fresh air. A comfortable sitting spot by the free standing propane fireplace is the perfect place to sit and read your favorite book, or write a poem. Open the sliding door to hear the peaceful sound of the waves. There is a yard out front the cabin to play in. Bring a ball, frisbee, or whatever your favorite yard game is. Plenty of space on the property to explore. The trail to the beach is about 1/4 mile. There are two fresh water ponds on the way to the beach. Wild strawberries in June are delicious. - This private property is within many wonderful natural treasures on the Olympic Peninsula. Ruby Beach is 15 miles north. The Big Cedar Tree is 10 miles north. The Hoh Rainforest is about a one hour drive north then east. Forks is 45 minutes north. LaPush is about an hour and a half drive north. Kalaloch Lodge is only 3.5 miles north with it's easy access beach, and nature trails on the other side of the highway. The Queets River is only 1 miles south. Beautiful Lake Quinault is 50 minutes south. There you can enjoy the historical lodge's nice restaurant, or boat rentals. Perhaps a nice summer swim. Many hiking trails are accessible along the lake, and at the end of the lake. Both the North side of the lake and South side of the lake are worth exploring. ...moreless

Most enjoyable stay and fantastic owner!
Most enjoyable stay and fantastic owner!
I grew up camping at Kalaloch each summer, so it was a real pleasure to travel back as an adult and stay in the cabin. It easily exceeded our expectations and our family's needs (traveling with my husband, 3 and 6 yr olds, mom, and brother). We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation, scenery, and backyard marshmallow roasts. What really was touching was Karen's tenacity when I emailed her after our stay saying our little boy's stuffed animal had been accidentally left behind. Since she is offsite, she coordinated with family members that also stayed later in the cabin but unfortunately they couldn't locate the animal. Imagine my surprise when two months later, Karen emails me to say she visited and found it! She promptly sent him on his way, and she made my son's month ten times over. We certainly are grateful for the effort expended and the follow through. Hands down, we will visit Kalaloch again, and we certainly know where we will stay.

Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Some people only need to get rid of the net and phones for a while, to catch up with reading, to exercise, to have a good time with your family or just build a really big puzzle. Some people need a base from which to visit the many attractions of the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. Some are looking for a cabin on a bluff by the beach, with all the comforts you could need, including a cool swing hanging from a tall tree. We are all those kinds of people, so we're glad we found this place. Too bad we could not stay a bit longer...!

About the owner: Hello. My name is Karen Charters. I'm the reservation manager for Sea Crest Beach Cabins. As a family we have been going to the coast for many years. Now our family is pleased to open our property for your respectful enjoyment of the space. Please be our guest. This property is amazing in any season!! Summer's fill up pretty early, so don't wait to inquire!!
Why the Owner Chose Kalaloch:
We are blessed to have the opportunity to invest in a familie's dreams and aspirations for this piece of land. As a family we are carrying on what another family wanted to achieve.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
This is one of the last pieces of Washington Coast, ocean front land available that can still be developed. That is only one reason this land is unique. 2 fresh water ponds are on the property. It's common to see the otters swimming around. 2 clear trails to the beach, and the log jam is something you just have to see to believe. We rarely, if any, have any complaints. Remember to leave a positive review. Thank you!!
