Redwood Cottage has two bedrooms each with a queen size bed, one bathroom with tub/shower, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room with 6 chairs and oval oak table, and a beautiful living room with seating for 7 people. The hot tub on the deck overlooks the Upper Cove in the Village of Sag Harbor. Also, on the deck is a charcoal barbeque, rocking chairs and a wrought iron table with 4 chairs. The cottage is a 10 minute walk along the waterfront to Main Street where there are wonderful restaurants, galleries, a movie theater, marinas and playhouse featuring many famous actors and actresses.
The Bay Beach is a 5 minute ride by car and the Ocean Beach is 10 minutes by car.
The living room fireplace is not working.

Dot was exceptionally kind and helpful, she even left us beer in the fridge! Lovely waterviews, amazing hot tub, walking distance to town... this house really made our weekend, thanks Dot!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. We visited wineries, hiked the Morten Wildlife Preserve and had a wonderful dinner at the American Hotel. The cottage was cute and decorated nicely. The kitchen was supplied with everything you need to make a gourmet meal. The bed was extremely comfortable and we could open two windows directly above our heads to let in the fresh sea air! We were right on a private boat basin......with flowering trees across the water. The owner left a folder with numerous suggestions to make our stay even more interesting. We will be back next spring!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This 2 bedroom exceptionally maintained house stands on a bluff overlooking an upper channel of the Bay. Daily visits from geese, ducks and deer further enriching this bulcolic setting. A comfortable deck with a table and all styles of chairs allows for barbecue dining as well as leisurely sunset watching. The dining and adjoining living room are handsomely appointed and comfortable. The kitchen is modern with everything needed for full course meals. The bedrooms are cottage cozy. The neighborhood, which is a 10 minute walk from the center of Sag Harbor, is quiet in a dreamy country way with only the sounds of nature to interrupt ones' private reveries. This is our third year staying at this property and the kind and helpful owner continues to make improvements that enhance our stay.Recommended for: Pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

About the owner: I have lived in Sag Harbor well before it got 'famous'. My husband and I raised 3 wonderful children here and are now on our first 'grandchild'!!!
Why the Owner Chose Sag Harbor:
Redwood Cottage overlooks the Upper Cove and Boat Basin in the Village of Sag Harbor. The view is ever changing as the seasons change. The cottage is situated high on a hill always catching the cool south breezes. Beautiful 150 year old oak trees provide lots of shade in summer and lots of leaves to rake in the fall!!!
Parking has become a problem on Main Street over the years, so it is nice to be able to walk into the Village.
