The Hibiscus suite is a spacious garden studio in the Hale Pua Villa at Beachside Poipu with full kitchen, king size bed and entertainment center. If you want a location convenient to surfing, basking in the sun or serving as a command center for your island vacation activities this is it!
The full-kitchen has stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher and all the stuff necessary to blend the best smoothies, create superb salads, or barbeque steaks on the electric grill on the private lanai. Optionally, a few steps away is Brennecke's Restaurant which has great food.
Can't leave the computer home? The facility is wi-fi enabled. Don't pay for that extra bag on the airlines. A laundry with supplies is available. The bath is shower only - no tub. We think we have thought of everything including beach chairs, mats and an ice chest for your beach activities. The Hibiscus awaits along with the beach, rainbows and stars only Hawaii can provide. To us this is the most perfect location in Poipu as it is only a minutes walk to Brennecke's Boogey Boarding Beach and Poipu Beach Park. We are one of the 3 vacation rentals this close to the beach in Poipu. We have really tried with our personal touches to make this a very special island holiday get-away without the expense of staying in a hotel. Located in this charming neighborhood creates special memories for all that have stayed with us.

My husband & I (Ed Sindt & Kathy Bates), bought this wonderful beach property in 1978 with thoughts of retirement close to one of the best beaches in the world!
A minute walk to Poipu Beach Park & Brennecke's Boogey Boarding Beach!
We built a home in 1988 and moved to Kauai, heaven on earth. Built a second home on property and rented it out! Alas Hurricane Iniki destroyed both houses. We relocated to California to work. Rebuilt one home and made it a vacation rental.
At last in 2002, we returned to Kauai and decided to start managing the vacation rental home ourselves. We built the second home and then found that we wanted to live upcountry and have dogs again! We added Hale Pua to the rental market.
We are very happy living on Kauai in the south shore and managing our rentals. We love meeting our guests and hearing of their adventures on island and elsewhere!

Stayed here on our one year anniversary trip and it was the perfect! So close to the beach and the hot tub was such a nice extra. Loved it so much we bought one when we got home.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Absolutely terrible! Just kidding! It has been over a year since we stayed here & I keep dreaming of going back! It was perfect in every way except for the noise of someone stomping around at 2:00 AM upstairs -- even that would not keep me from coming back! I can't wait to return to this glorious home! Snorkeling, dining, dinner cruise, exploring parks & the entire island was so much fun. Softest sand anywhere! Kathy was welcoming and we had the time of our lives!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We just recently returned from our wonderful 5 night stay at Hibiscus in Beachside Poipu Hale. Kathleen has set up the units for this vacation rental well, and we especially enjoyed the spaciousness and amenities of Hibiscus. The outside HOT shower is wonderful, and we used the hot tub/spa A LOT. The night we arrived friends who live a few doors away brought dinner over, which we enjoyed in the large common area lanai. The convenience to the beach park and snorkeling was fantastic. Nearly every morning, after a light meal of banana bread and fruit, we would go snorkeling and swimming. Then we'd come back to the Hale, shower off, organize our stuff and head out for whatever excursions we wanted to do for the day Seals were on the beach the last three mornings of our stay, and turtles were at Brennecke's and all the way east along the coast. Light dinner one night at Brennecke's Broiler was fun just because it was a short walk away. The neighborhood is quiet, the chickens adopted us (we did NOT feed them), and we saw beautiful little green birds in the flowers around the property. The Po'ipu Shopping Center is close, but not TOO close (I'd have spent too much if I'd gone there sooner), and Koloa is a quick jaunt away for groceries and more shopping All in all, our stay at Hibiscus was everything we could hope for - except not LONG enough!! Mahalo, Kathleen and all who made our stay at Hibiscus/Beachside Poipu Hale a wonderful experience and a memory we will treasure.
