Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
The House was clean, big, close to a nice beach with shower access, and very family friendly. All the kids had their own beds and they loved fishing in the canal. They got to meet Capt Russ Kiddy and Capt Bobby (he is in one of the books at the house, both of them were very nice fellows and would give the kids pointers on fishing or tell them a good spot to go fish - kids absolutely loved both of them) We spent a week at the beach and had a blast!! We will be back next year!

About the owner: Bobby is a well known boat captain who loves life on the water. He raised his family here at Henry's Haven where his children grew up exploring life along the canal and nearby sound. He and Gail were married in 2004 and currently live nearby, across the canal from the cottage. Need fishing advice? Bobby is the right person to ask! He and Gail know a lot about local history and would be happy to chat with you if you have questions.
Why the Owner Chose Frisco:
Here at Henry's Haven visitors get to see the island a little differently. The home is located in a quiet, mostly residential neighborhood on a small street with little traffic. It's a great place for families, where children can fish and crab. The house is located on a double lot with lots of room to play. Look for Henry, the Great Blue Heron for which the cottage was named. Henry showed up a long time ago with a bum leg and wing. He survived that year with help from the nearby families who fed him bait fish. Watch out if you are fishing with mullet, Henry is a skilled bait snatcher and will sneak up to the bucket when you aren't looking! Henry was later joined by a Great Egret (white heron) and Bobby often catches fish and feeds them by hand.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Quiet location with beautiful views. Enjoy morning coffee on the deck while watching boats go by on the sound, or relax with a glass of wine to watch the beautiful sunsets. Henry's Haven offers 5 bedrooms (2 queen, 2 full, 2 single beds) and is perfect for large families. The dine-in kitchen offers great sunset views. There is a separate dining room as well. The large living room has lots of seating for relaxing and watching TV with the family. Simple yet spectacular; a perfect place to spend time with the people you love.
