I arrived at this clean, magnificent, and spacious home on Hayden Lake on March 1st, 2013; and, I was immediately impressed with the open and welcoming atmosphere of this well appointed home. The care-takers are wonderful people who live in the immediate area; and, they are most helpful in getting you settled into this great home. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils and equipment to allow for some great meals. The views off the deck over-looking the lake are spectacular; and, it is a must to have a camera handy for capturing sunrises and sunsets on the lake. There are many shopping areas conveniently located within minutes of this home. The huge stone fire places in the main floor living area and the downstairs living area are very inviting for a warm and friendly gathering of friends or family. The home also offers a tram carrying individuals to a guest house on the dock for any boating, fishing, water-skiing, or sun-bathing activities during the warmer months. The home is equipped with cable-tv for staying informed and well-entertained in comfortable surroundings. This is an amazingly comfortable and relaxing spot for a peaceful and most enjoyable vacation. I highly recommend this home to be considered for your next vacation. The views are breath-taking and the home is immaculate and welcoming.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We arrived in the early evening for our glorious week, after stopping at the conveniently located supermarket for some supplies. The first view of the home, met all our expectations: it's a lodge, actually in a homey setting. Wonderful bedrooms (3) roomy, with fluffy comforters on the beds. The living room/dining room area is huge with plenty of seating room and lots of table area. We chatted while I prepared dinner in the well-appointed kitchen, and then took our dinner to the deck. After dinner we took the tram down to the dock and the lake, a gentle tantalizing ride to the cabana and then the lake where we enjoyed a glass of wine at the little bistro table and chairs there. Morning found us on the road to Priest, Spirit, Coeur d'Alene and Twin Lakes to check out the scenery- beautiful, pristine Idaho- absolutely spectacular. We had lunch in Hayden at a cute little sandwich shop and headed home to "our" lake for the week. Hayden Lake is the perfect size, and the water in the late afternoon was inviting- even in September. It was an unforgettable week in a beautiful, spotless home and we wished we'd booked 2 weeks instead of one. The caretakers introduced themselves and were helpful, but not at all intrusive. Can't recommend this rental enough, and look forward to going back next year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I only had three days in this amazing house, but wish it had been 33. It has an amazing view, great dock to sunbathe on, incredible sunsets, and every amenity a body could want. Lots of room for a group of visitors, with personal space for all, and a nice cool basement area if you want to get out of the heat and play pool. It is immaculate, and feels like paradise.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Available for Ironman 2013, $4000 per week. $3000/week June-August. $3000/month September-May. Other weekly or nightly rates subject to owner preference. All rentals please add a $150 cleaning fee. Refundable security deposit of $500 is required. Absolutely no pets and no occupancy greater than 8. Surcharges are applied if these rules are broken.

About the owner: We purchased this home as the place where we plan to retire. We have stayed there in the winter and loved it and will be staying there part of the summer each year. We love it and it is beautiful in all seasons.
Why the Owner Chose Other Hayden Lake Properties:
I grew up in Idaho and then spent most of my life in Washington state, so I wanted to come back home. My husband is a fisherman and so he spends all his time out on the lake, catching fish! I spend mine on the dock, reading!

The views from this house are spectacular! Then, when you go down to the dock, the water is clear and beautiful and just right for swimming, fishing, or other water activities. The oversized deck, the cabana, and the lower deck give you lots of room to hang out down by the water. Inside, the house has many custom luxury finishes, making it a very, very pleasant place to be.
