If you are considering a stay at Villamare, you must read on as our condo is very different than the others. We spent $130,000 to completely gut and remodel this condo. We have also redesigned the layout to provide a larger great room area. Travertine marble floors and smooth ceilings, new maple cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. New bathrooms with marble and tile surrounds and new, honey pine furniture throughout. Gone is the large soaker tub in the master bedroom. It is replaced with a walk-in closet for additional storage. And, we changed the layout of the condo and created a new den which adds more living area in the great room. We have added three flat panel TVs, two of which are HDTVs. We provide cable TV, a DVR and HBO.
This is a great vacation condo! Hi-speed internet access. Smoke-free vacation condo. Travertine marble throughout the condo, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and ceiling fans (the only condo at Villamare with ceiling fans as far as we know!). The entire condo is painted a warm gold which pulls out the colors and textures of the furniture. We got rid of the vertical blinds and replaced them with modern window treatments.
MASTER SUITE: King size bed and a walk-in closet. The suite includes a walk-in shower and flat panel, wall-mounted 32" HDTV. A second “tall boy” dresser is included to allow even more storage. There is a ceiling fan made with natural palm leaves. Open the sliding glass doors to the balcony so you can hear the ocean at night. All the furniture is honey pine with a plantation shutter look. The shades on the sliding doors in the master suite have room darkening added to block the sun in the afternoon. The suite offers a double sink with additional drawers for storage. And, full-length sliding mirrored doors accent the second closet.
SECOND SUITE: Queen-size bed is also honey pine with the look of plantation shutters, private bath with full size tub and sliding glass doors. The suite offers a single sink with extra-long counter space and under-counter storage. There is also a wall-mounted 19" flat panel TV with remote control. This room features a stained glass insert which catches the sun in brilliant colors. Close both of the doors and this room goes almost completely dark so the kids (or you) can catch an afternoon nap. And, full-length sliding mirrored doors accent the closet. In this closet you will find an ironing board and iron.
GREAT ROOM: Wall-mounted 42" HDTV with Blue Ray DVD player. The cable box is also a DVR recorder so you will not miss your favorite shows. There is a pull-out couch with a queen size bed, glass top coffee table and two end tables. The couch is on the wall of windows to catch a view of the ocean. The pull-out couch and the matching love seat are covered in a suede-finish fabric. The great room has a ceiling fan with natural palm leave blades, as well as sliding doors to the balcony.
DEN: The den features a 5' mahogany desk in the event a little office work needs to be done. There is also an oversize chair for curling up with a good book. The bookcase has three shelves and storage underneath. There are sliding glass doors which lead to a second balcony off the den. Both the den and the Great Room have shag throw rugs to add warmth.
DINING AREA: Pub table height with four sturdy chairs plus two additional chairs at the granite bar. Above the table is a tropical-theme lamp with "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" monkeys. The wood pub table has palm leaves carved into each of the four corners to add a touch of whimsy. And, the pub table has a built in wine rack to hold ten bottles of wine – how cool is that?
KITCHEN: The appliances are all full size. Ceramic cook top stove/oven with overhead microwave are black with stainless steel accents. The refrigerator has the freezer on top with ice maker and is stainless steel. The dishwasher is also stainless steel. A full set of daily-use china with service for eight is included. Silverware, glasses, pots/pans and baking dishes will enable the family to enjoy home cooked meals. Also included are wine glasses for those quieter moments. Three pendant lights hang above the granite bar and cast a warm glow. The base of the bar is made of tumbled travertine marble in a running bond pattern. At the end of the bar counter is a medallion made of stone inset on the wall to add architectural interest.
LAUNDRY CLOSET: There is a commercial, heavy duty, super capacity stacked, washer/dryer off the kitchen. Also included are wire shelves for more storage and a rod to hold clean clothes. The double doors on the laundry closet close completely to dampen the noise.
BALCONIES: There are two balconies with this condo. The primary balcony can be accessed from the master suite or the great room and has an inlaid tile table with four mesh chairs. From this balcony you can see, hear and smell the Atlantic Ocean. The second balcony has two additional mesh chairs with a view of the wooded area adjacent to the property. Relax on either balcony at the end of a long day at the beach, and take in the ocean breezes.
WRAP-UP: This totally remodeled condo in the Villamare, ocean-front complex offers sun, sand and surf. Perfect place to get away and recharge your batteries. Your condo was great and exceedingly comfortable!!! It was incredibly clean and very child-friendly. It was an easy walk to the beach and pools. We were impressed with the sound buffering, too; I never heard anyone outside the condo or in the adjacent units. We would love to stay again. Next time we will plan to stay a week at least!

My family and I spent a week here in July and had a great time. The condo was clean and exceptionally nice. The complex was also exceptional and well maintained. The location is ideal being very close to many great restaurants and family activities. We would definitely return or a vacation in the future. The owners were also very pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend renting this unit for your family beach vacation. p.s. my son especially enjoyed catching and releasing the turtles in the pond on the property. He was glad he brought his nets.
