The Cabin sits at an elevation of 2,200 feet and is surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest. There are many hiking trails in the area, as well as some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Southeast. The Cabin is 2 miles North of Dillard, GA and 9 miles North of Clayton, GA, just off US-441, and just a mile over the GA-NC state line. Both Dillard and Clayton have grocery stores, gas stations, banks, and a number of good restaurants to go along with the fast food and chain restaurants you would expect to find. In addition, Clayton boosts a 24-hour Super Wal-Mart. Twelve miles North of the Cabin is the largest town in the area, Franklin, NC with a permanent population of about 4,000. There you'll find a dozen or so sit-down restaurants, four large grocery stores, five gem mines, a cinema, an establishment called The Fun Factory--which is a family-oriented destination that offers arcades, mini-golf, bowling, indoor laser tag, outdoor go carts, as well as informal 'kid-oriented' dining.
NOTE: To insure the health and comfort of all our future guests, we are not unable to accommodate smokers or pets.

The cabin is cute, clean and cozy - the perfect size for our family of five. We spent relaxing family time together at night, and went hiking and sight-seeing during the day. Smoky Mountain National Park was amazing and the waterfall drive was impressive. But our favorite activity was just hiking near the cabin. The Rock House hike was something we will never forget. We were there in winter and built a fire every night, which was quite the treat for my kids. It was so lovely in winter that it just makes me want to return to see all the other seasons. The owners are friendly, honest people who will do everything they can to make your vacation memorable. We've stayed in several condos and cabins while on vacation, but this is our favorite by far - great value and one of the most beautiful locations on earth.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.
