The cabin was nice. The location was very good. Rest assured that it is a cabin, not a hotel room. You need to bring your own bar soap and kleenex along with sheets, blankets and dish towels if you are going to wash dishes. There were a few paper towels left on the roll when we arrived and a little dish soap. Someone left some sample shampoo bottles on the bottom of the bathroom cabinet. I would not be inclined to use any of them not knowing where they came from. I actually liked bringing my own bedding, that way I knew it was clean, never had to do that before. We chose the place because we have a dog which we did not want to leave at home. If you have small children, this is not the place for you. The loft ladder is steep, not for little ones. Overall, I would go back if I had to find a place that would take my dog.

My husband and I visited this Door County cabin for our anniversary-----and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Upon arrival, the cabin was clean and was everything that we expected this studio style cabin to be. Shortly after we arrived, we left to go explore Ephraim but our key did not match the lock to the door; however, the owner helped solve the problem immediately and gave us the correct matching key. While visiting the middle of summer, I was a little disappointed to find out that the cabin had no sort of air conditioning unit...it made for a few uncomfortable nights when it was 80+ degrees outside. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay immensely and will definitely stay again! ...maybe even with the kiddos next time!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin!! It was just perfect! We enjoyed sitting outside at the table and found the bugs to be manageable. The cabin to be very clean and just perfect with refrigerator, and thoughtful add ons... charcoal, matches, table cloth and fan! The only recommendation we had was that a rug be placed in the cabin next door for the kitchen table. This would help to elmininate noise from sliding the chairs. Great location to everything! Hope to see you again!

We loved this little cottage in Ephraim, the location was great right in the middle of the Door. Quiet, clean, and peaceful. The only negative was the design of the bathroom. Major flaws in that the door could not open all the way because it hit the sink and that made it challenging to be at the sink. The contractor made a huge boo boo. Also the cabinet was very tall and that would not have been a problem except there was a vessel sink - way too high, and we are tall gals. The contractor also placed the sink too far away from the faucet and it was very awkward. Live and learn how to design a bathroom - otherwise the cottage was great and we felt like locals. Easy walk to food and 1/2 block from the water. Awesome that we could bring our dog, great yard!! More peaceful than Egg harbor or Fish Creek.

My husband and I visited over Memorial Day weekend and there was a three night minimum required. We "checked in" Friday and "checked out" Monday. By checking in, the key and an invoice are left inside for you and the door is unlocked. You leave the key and a check on your way out - easy breezy. The cabin had been recently updated and even smelled a bit like fresh paint/construction. It was very modern inside despite the more rustic look of the outside. The little games cottage mentioned in the description was actually full of gardening supplies, so that part of the description was not accurate. The location is excellent, though since we got there after dark, for first timers it was a little hard to find. It is a block away from the Old Post Office Restaurant where we went to our first fish boil (and it was delicious!). Ephraim is right in between Fish Creek and Sister Bay so it's really easy and fast to get to either. There are two twin mattresses up in the loft, so you could sleep 4 comfortably, though with the one small bathroom it might be a bit tight. For a family with 2 children, that would work well. I would absolutely recommend this unit and would stay there again. My only complaint is that you have to supply your own linens (towels, sheets, blankets, etc.) which is a bit of an inconvenience and for the price, in my opinion, those things should be included.

Compact, but very nicely renovated. Well-equipped with the essentials. We stayed over a very cold New Year's, and the cabin was warm and cozy. Perfect location in the middle of Ephraim. Very clean. Would be great for those coming for sailing or wind-surfing regattas-just a block from the water. We really enjoyed our stay!

My wife and I just returned from a weekend stay at this lovely log cabin in beautiful Ephraim, WI. The booking process of simple and the price was very reasonable for the time of year we were visiting Door County (festival weekends, fall colors etc..). The property manager greeted us upon arrival to make sure the cabin was to our liking and it certainly was; very clean and well maintained. You can't beat the location, about a block from the water and a short walk to the Old Post Office Restaurant, Anderson Dock and Wilson's. We'll definitely consider this property for future vacations in Door County!

Good: Beautiful location, steps from Ephraim downtown. New construction cabin, clean and efficient. Modern aesthetic. Bad: Wifi spotty at best. Ugly: We were SHOCKED to arrive at the cabin and find there was no toilet paper, at all!! It was after 9 when we got there, and if you know Door County at all, you know that every store closes at 9 or earlier. By some miracle, a gas station was still open, and we stocked up there. Not exactly a relaxing way to start our vacay. Now, usually when I stay in DC, I get a hand written note from the owner, with a phone number I can reach in case I need anything. Here we got nothing. I was particularly disappointed that the owner did not try to resolve the issue with me personally the next day. After writing an email that evening, we found papergoods outside our room the following day but no note or apology was given. I like to support small businesses that take pride in their work, and I did not feel that from this business owner. The personal assistant who was our liason was terrific, but after an issue, I expect to hear from the business owner, especially if they happen to live on the premises! I would not recommend this place to a friend. Talk about being caught with your pants down!

Manager response: Thank you for your review. We have a cleaning service that takes care of the cabin and I sincerely apologize that they neglected to leave TP. Your call/email was received by the reservations gal and the TP was delivered right away. We attempted to knock on your cabin door twice and you were away both times. This was when the paper products were left by the door for you. If you saw the owner was next door and lights were on, please feel free to knock and let us know that you may need something. We are there to help. Thanks again for writing.

My family and I enjoyed the "Cedar" unit of this little cabin. It was clean and well appointed. Great location in Ephraim, but no views of the water. It's a bit small, but every bit of space is used strategically. I wonder where they got the boards that decorate the wall above the couch?

Manager response: Thank you for your kind review. We enjoyed having you. The boards above the couch are from Anderson Dock when they removed the old siding a few years ago. We're glad you liked them.

My family and I stayed (2 adults and 1 22 month old toddler) for the firts time at Door County. The place was great, so clean and worderful.WOW. Only a little problem, we have some stuff for my son and us and it was not any closet to put away (just a little shoe box by TV), so we had everything packed in travel bags for 3 days.Bed was very nice and soft, my husband and I had every night good night sleep.very nice yard for little kids to play, and esp our son had good time there. We did not have anybody next door until Sat night, however we could hear TV running next door thru the wall.It was not lound but.....If you have small children, you have to be very carefull with ladder, its was difficult to get upstrairs. We will come back for sure to the same place, because it was amazing. Thank you very much.
