The condo was just as represented by the website, the pictures, and the owner. It was clean and well maintained. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating before and during our stay. The view was terrific and we had a very enjoyable visit. We highly recommend the Mahana in general and this unit specifically for anyone who visits Hawaii.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

From the time we arrived till the day we left, we had a wonderful time in this property. The view from the lanai is something you will never get on any other property except the Mahana. The whales were very active more than any other time we have been to Maui. We also saw a couple of Sea Turtles that kept us entertained every afternoon. Every sunset was picture perfect from the lanai plus sleeping with the sliders open and listening to the wave's splash on the beach every night, is heaven. You have direct access to the beach for a nice walk on the beach or you can access the boardwalk for a nice long walk to Black Rock and back. You are also within walking distance to the grocery store, Fish Market and Farmer's Market. The condo was better than advertised and very neat and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils needed for a complete dinner meal. The BBQ's provided by the Mahana are cleaned every day to the point that they look new. The condo owner was great to work with and called us upon arrival to confirm that we got into the condo OK and that everything was working properly and if anything need his attention. I mentioned that one of the sliding screen doors was off track and wouldn't shut properly. They sent someone out that day to fix it that same day. We stayed in this condo for 17 days and can't wait to go back. Anybody looking for a great condo in a great complex and priced very reasonable should definitely consider the Mahana.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying for 5 nights at Mahana 304 in November, 2012. We arrived in the evening after a long day of travel, cruised through an easy check-in process, walked into the condo and were greeted with the sounds of the waves rolling up to the beach. It was only when the sun rose did we realize how close we were to the beautiful blue ocean. The entire west-facing section of the condo faces the ocean and the vistas were breathtaking... The condo was clean, well-appointed and offered everything we could have asked for in a beach-front rental. While the photos are amazing being there in person is the only way to appreciate the beauty and peacefulness of Mahana. The location of Mahana to a number of walk-able venues was one of the great surprises and delights. We spent our time in West Maui with a restful mix of walking the beach, relaxing by the wonderful pool and exploring the many different sights, sounds and tastes of the area. The owners were extremely accommodating as were the property management staff. Can't miss activities that we'd recommend include: Mamma's Fish House, the wine list at the Castaways, take-out from Ozazuya's, outdoor oven pizza at Kula Lodge near Haleakala... We will definitely be going back in the near future!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

Why the Owner Chose Mahana:
Proximity to the beach and unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean plus the islands of Molokai and Lanai. Ability to enjoy wonderful sunsets and cool ocean breezes. The Mahana is quiet yet has amenities such as a swimming pool and hot tub. Just a wonderful place to spend time.
