Step inside and you will be transported back to a former era in Ocean City - original chestnut paneled walls in the living room and dining room speak history while chestnut steps, floors, and woodwork complete this historic cottage. The modern kitchen and powder room complete the rooms on this floor. Walk upstairs to four spacious bedrooms and a modern bath. Two queen beds, a double bed, and three twin beds will allow your family to have all the room you need. The house has new central air conditioning, and an enclosed shower in the back yard. A large clothesline and area to store bikes are on the ground floor.
Being in the beach block, you walk less than a block to reach Ocean City's world famous beach and boardwalk. Rent bikes in the AM, spend the afternoon on the beach, and stroll the boards at night, all conveniently located within walking distance of this home. This original arts and crafts style cottage is located in the Northend of Ocean City, the most historic section of town.

Year Purchased: 1986
My family has been vacationing in Ocean City since the 1940's. We have always stayed at the North end of the island, and first owned property in Ocean City in 1966. My siblings and I spent our high school and college summers working at various businesses on the Boardwalk, and saving hard earned money for college expenses.
My husband, sons, siblings and extended family love to gather at this original Ocean City house to enjoy the sun, sand, surf and memories of summers gone by.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Gardens
My siblings and I grew up in a summer home on Plymouth Place, in the north end of Ocean City. My current home on Delancey Place is reminiscent of those early Ocean City years, and a slower, more casual pace.

Our family visited Sept 2010 and everything was so nice. It was our family plus some of my husband's extended- everyone loved the historic charm. There was always someone on that wonderful porch. It was a big enough house where everyone had privacy. The beds were nice and the house was very clean. Thanks Ann for making it so easy. We are hoping to come again to Ocean City this year again, early summer. The beach and boardwalk were truly just a block away. Only slight negative was no washer/dryer or beach toys for kids.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This home has been lovingly restored to its circa 1920 beginnings, while maintaining the creature comforts of a modern home- central air conditioning and 2 baths. You will rest and relax on the wrap around porch which is shaded by old fashioned awnings. Leave your cares and enjoy the ocean breezes from the porch of this home.
