Comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom beach cottage, with game room for those rainy days; located on N. Memorial Blvd, between the highways in Kill Devil Hills at Mile Post 8. Enjoy the open floor plan, updated kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, stereo with CD player, puzzles and books for a relaxing memorable vacation.
The cottage is centrally located where you can easily get to the Wright Brothers Museum, Outlet Mall, Manteo, Elizabethan Gardens, The Lost Colony Play, North Carolina Aquarium, Jockeys Ridge State Park, Bodie Island Lighthouse, Fishing Piers and Charter Boat Fishing. It’s just a short walk to the beach where there is public access and a life guard station with showers and restrooms, the Stop N Shop, and Dairy Queen.
The cottage has central air, 2 queen beds (master with bathroom attached, second bedroom), and two twin bunk bed sets that sleep 4 (third bedroom). A second bathroom with tub is across the hall from the third bedroom. There also is an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water to wash off the sand and surf. There are boogie boards and beach toys at the cottage for your use.
For those rainy days or days you just want to stay in, there is cable TV with HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, and Encore and WiFi internet to stay connected. The game room downstairs is equipped with a pool table, 15 inch TV with game cube, foosball, some storage space and washer and dryer.
There are two decks, one covered and furnished where you can enjoy the breeze coming off the ocean, and one sun deck. Barbeque on the charcoal grill on the ground level and eat out on the picnic table located in the open area of the back deck.

The house is about a 3 minute walk to beach access. You can literally walk through the back yard, take a right onto the beach road and the beach access is right there. Its probably the closest we have ever stayed to the beach. Very easy walk if you have kids or like being min's from the beach (who doesnt)! There is general store right across the street from beach access, making it easy to grab snacks or a 6 pack before hitting the beach or a late night ice cream run. The store has a deli with Boars Head meat, fishing gear, beer, snacks, swim suits and anything else you might need. Very close to a number or restaurants. If you need something to do on a rainy day, Tanger Outlets in Nags Head is just a short drive. The kitchen is pretty much fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, cups, etc. If you are like our family and like to make most of your meals at the house, it was a great feature. The only negative thing I can say is the house has not been updated in a long time. The house is clean but has the look/feel of an older home. TVs are old tube tv's (except for the 13 inch flat screen in the game room). Overall great house for the price and EXCELLENT LOCATION!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
