One of the most unique properties in all of Gatlinburg, located in a secluded forest setting where you can watch the Ober Gatlinburg Tram pass by overhead... YET WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO THE PARKWAY!!!
You pull into your long, private, gravel drive and enter into the glass enclosed (including the roof!) game room with a pool table; to your left is the dining area with a dining table. To your left is the fully-equipped kitchen with new tile counter tops and floor.
Next is the first living area with a cathedral ceiling, floor-to-ceiling natural-stone wood-burning fireplace, then the sunroom with a door that leads to the side deck with a umbrella table and four chairs, and a five-to-six-person hot tub.
To your right is unique bedroom with a floor-to-ceiling natural-stone wood-burning fireplace, and a wall of windows. Down a small hallway with a washer and dryer, on your left is a bedroom. Then a bathroom, next is the second bedroom and a private bath. Both bathroom were completely updated in March of 2006.

We brought friends visitng from another country and enjoyed the peace and quite. We just sat on the deck and relaxed. When we got hungry, we walked downtown. We had my disabled mother with us and the wood floors and everything being on one level helped her get around easily.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had a wonderful week, walked downtown, kids saw chipmunks and a bear. Were extremely excited. Found no bug problems, a few ants but you are in the woods. Our dog, Oreo, also had room to run.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

We should have paid attention to the other review. The bedbugs from December are still there. We didn't spend much time in the house because of it and half of us slept in our cars.

home was found to have numerous bed bugs. have tried numerous times to make contact with renter while we were there and since (dec 2010) to no avail.
