THE BEACH HOUSE AT LONG KEY

This beautiful and peaceful, ocean and beach front estate is located on one of the only private beaches in the Florida Keys.

The smoke-free home is located on the southern tip of Long Key at mile marker 66, and has a spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean. It is walled with a gated entrance leading to landscaped gardens with winding pathways.

The beach has sea oat dunes and with over a mile of beach accessable, you can take long peaceful walks along the ocean.

The cozy interior is Canadian cedar with cathedral ceilings. The main living and bedroom areas are on the second floor and have an enclosed balcony overlooking the beach and ocean. Master has a king-size bed with full bath, 2nd bedroom has queen with bath and 3rd bedroom has 2 twins. A 1st floor recreational den can be used as 4th bedroom or kids room.

The Long Key State Park is a short walk up the beach, where camping, bird watching, snorkeling, hiking, canoeing, and many other activities are offered.

The water in front of the home is shallow which is great for snorkeling, lounging, and is a paradise for children. Boat rentals are available nearby.

Just minutes away from world-class award winning Hawk’s Cay Resort; Islamorada, Village of Islands; and the spectacular seven-mile bridge.

The waters of the Atlantic Ocean and Florida Bay provide some of the best diving and fishing in the world. World-Class fishing guides and dive boats are also available.

Many of the local fishing guides will pick you up right in front of the house. The Long Key Viaduct, just a few hundred feet from the house, has proven to be one of the world's best places to catch a Tarpon.

  • We stayed in Le Sanbar Estate for two glorious weeks in April 2007,on arrival at the house we were stunned at the beautiful landscaped driveway leading up to the house from the locked front gates and walled gardens at the front, but it was nothing as to what awaited us out the back of the house we parked the car in the covered parking bay and screamed at the beautiful private beach and turqoise seas,the kids were in paradise as the sea is shallow and a dream for them and us as we knew they would be safe.When we could tear ourselves away we entered the house which was lovely with everything we needed for our home from home the enclosed screened porch overlooking the sea was a real bonus for us all even the dog loved lying there catching the breeze.The beach was so peaceful we were lucky if we saw 4 or 5 people a day passing by from other houses.There is a lovely stretch of beach leading up to the state park which my husband ran to with the dog every morning.We hired a boat for a couple of days from the seabird marina they were really helpful and pointed us amatuers in the right direction,we headed to alligator reef which is a light house where there is loads of fish to see the water is only 8 feet deep so not to scary and were able to bring the boat up to within 50 feet of the beach at the house popped in for lunch and off again.We also hired jet skis from Hawks Cay resort at mile marker 61 just 4 miles up the road they were great we had a blast the guy took us on a tour although it was the choppiest day I think it made it more fun.Alex and Denira the owners were very helpful and left plenty of info with things to do and see and ask Alex anything he will get straight back to you.We had a super holiday there and didnt want to leave. t The place is spectacular.I hope this comment helps anyone thinking of holidaying there.
