Hollywood Hills house description
Lights! Camera! Location! Our historic Hollywood bungalows are located in the heart of Hollywood and the gateway to the Hollywood Hills and feature all the amenities of home. Tucked away just minutes from the Hollywood sign, each bungalow is a two bedroom, one bath that comfortably sleeps four people and with the pullout sofas can accommodate up to six. The bungalows are conveniently located between all the major movie studios, attractions, venues, restaurants, sites and have quick and easy access to the Los Angeles metro and freeways.
You will be greeted with a complementary bottle of wine and chocolates along with coffee, teas and sweeteners. Enjoy our Hollywood Bungalows manual that includes everything from our favorite restaurants, hiking trails and tourist activities.
There is no reason to drive or cab it to some of our favorite spots such as Musso and Frank Grill, Hollywood’s oldest existing restaurant built one year after our bungalows in 1919, or Amoeba Music, the world’s largest independent record store.
The bungalows are just two blocks from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and three blocks from Sunset Boulevard. Take a stroll to visit Hollywood & Highland, home of the Academy Awards. While there, check out movie stars’ hand and foot prints at the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theater. For the young (and young at heart) enjoy some of Hollywood's hippest nightlife just two to three blocks away.
We're a five-minute drive to most of Hollywood's major film studios, with daily studio tours and show tapings. For a full day of fun, we are also just a five-minute drive to Universal Studios and City Walk.
If you are still weighing your vacation options, remember that vacation rentals are a wonderful way to reduce the cost of any vacation or work trip. Each home has a full kitchen with china, cutlery, and all normal kitchen utensils and of course a microwave for warming your doggy bag treasure from your trendy Los Angeles restaurant visit. Stock our home with breakfast food, drinks, and light meals for your stay and save a bundle in LA.
****PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE BOOKING****
Please check out our other listing on Home Away, number 3014459. It is located right next door to this bungalow.
We promise our bright and charming bungalows, originally commissioned in 1918 by Cecil B. DeMille to provide upscale housing for some of Hollywood’s early royalty, will be a highlight of your trip to Los Angeles. According to local historians, many of the silent film stars of the 1920's such as Charlie Chaplin, Richard Dix, Clara Bow, and Dorothy Gish were guests of these homes. Now lovingly restored, our vacation properties offer you a fun chance to sleep where legends have slept. We hope that our gorgeous little hideaway will become your very cool, LA home, away from home. Bon voyage and we hope to see you here in Hollywood!

What a great place ! So comfortable, so elegant ! Not only you have everything that you may need but you also get all the details that makes your stay a Hollywood adventure ! The location allows you to walk to Hollywood boulevard and around. You will find all the details of what to do, where to eat, plus all convenient details in Debra's book. Thanks to Debra's extreme kindness and great taste in decoration, we spent an unforgettable month at the Audrey bungalow ! We can't wait to go back in 14 months ! I wish I could put a sixth star ! Thank you very much Debra !

The Perfect Hollywood PadGuest comment entered by owner
The Perfect Hollywood Pad
The perfect Hollywood pad in the heart of the action! We travelled as a family of three, including our 10mo daughter and the bungalow did not leave us wanting for anything at all. It's the little things that make life easier when dragging a suitcase with you around the US and with a baby.......and Debra's place felt like our own home away from home. The home is designed and styled in the perfection of 'classic Hollywood' which is fitting considering as just a few steps away on Cahuenga you can see the Hollywood sign above the hills. The abundance of towels was terrific, and the fact that this isn't a residential home makes it feel more like a hotel without the need for lifts (so important with a baby) or price tags! The washer and dryer are an excellent asset as is the brand new stereo system. We walked to all Hollywood sights and utilized the hot tips Debra recommended for dinner. We were not disappointed in any way with our stay and we fell in love with LA even more and the stylish bungalow was a big part of this! Debra is an amazing host and we know others will love this place as much as we do. We will be back! :) This truly was an excellent first experience for us as air BNB users, the best experience!

Bungalow 1 and 2!
Bungalow 1 and 2!
These Hollywood bungalows were perfect for our family! We enjoyed both of them immensely. We celebrated our daughter's engagement at a picnic in Griffith Park which is a stone's throw away. We had 6 adults sleeping in Bungalow 2 and there was plenty of room. We had a small gathering on the patio after the picnic and everyone commented on how lovely the homes were. Bungalow one was shared by our other relatives and not a complaint was to be heard. We were all so pleased and look forward to going back next year. Parking was not an issue for us and we had 4 cars between the two bungalows. The pictures are a very accurate description. You definitely know what you are walking into. A big thankyou to Debra (who is wonderful) and to Nicole who was very helpful during check in. Checking in and out was a piece of cake!! Sandy from Canada

The BEST LA rental possible!
The BEST LA rental possible!
We couldn't have been more satisfied with Debra's bungalow. If you're traveling with your family, you really can't do better than this. For considerably less than a hotel, your family can enjoy this 2 BR bungalow with lovely front and back yard, situated within walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. The bungalow is exactly how it looks on the site-- super clean, cute, and highly functioning. And Debra's "info guide" on sites to see and places to go was really helpful to an out-of-towner. Do yourself a favor and book this place way in advance, because I'm sure the demand for the bungalow is high. We've already recommended the property to some friends that will be heading to LA, and will continue to recommend it. Thanks for the great stay!! --Dennis and Kelsey

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
We have just returned home from an amazing vacation in Hollywood! Myself and my two daughters (11 and 15) stayed in this lovely bungalow for the duration of our visit to Los angeles. It was beyond perfect...definitely exceded my expectations. The bungalow itself is clean, well maintained and you can definitely tell Debra put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this home. If her goal was to make you feel "at home" ...she was successful!! It is perfectly located close to everything we could have possibly needed. We felt safe and secure...and with the handy dandy information package she gave us we knew all the little nooks and cranny's to look in to find some of her favorite gems...some of which are ours now as well! Debra was a delight to deal with...beyond helpful and accomodating. Thank you so much for making our "first" family vacation so perfect!!! I look forward to staying with you again sometime soon...I have already planted the seed in my sisters head for a girls trip :)

I've enjoyed my stay. Apartment comfortable, clean, well located. The owner Debra is very nice and organized. Gave me tips on events in the city and mostly had a lot of patience to try to understand me since almost do not speak English. I highly recommend his apartment.

We had a wonderful time staying at the bungalow. We appreciated the fact that Debra went out of her way to make our rental dates work. She is very organized and informed us in great detail about the bungalow and the surrounding area before our arrival which we found to be very helpful. The bungalow was very clean and comfortable. It was well stocked with plenty of kitchen tools and dishes and we had a nice supply of towels. We also liked having the washer and dryer available for our use. Thank you Debra!

About the owner: Originally from San Antonio, I moved to Los Angeles in the mid 90's. I worked in production where I met my husband, Glenn. We settled into the Hollywood Hills where we are raising our children. I'm a big fan of our community and always wanted to be an emissary for those who want to learn more about where we live and what's so much fun about it. Some of the things I love most are summer nights at the Hollywood Bowl and getting an outdoor table on Hollywood Blvd. to watch the Hollywood Holiday parade right after Thanksgiving! I have done several upgrades since purchasing this property such as central air and heat and tankless water heater. I hope to share with you one day.
