Monterey bed and breakfast description
The Inn at the Pinnacles is a Mediterranean style Bed & Breakfast and is just 1.5 miles from the West Entrance to our 59th National Park, the Pinnacles National Park.
The Inn has a 6 guest suites all with private baths, and is located on 160 acres of the Brosseau Vineyards Private Estate, Chalone Appellation, Monterey County, California. The surrounding vineyards and hillsides offer a peaceful, serene setting, with a spectacular night sky for stargazing.
Enjoy hiking, bird watching, and rock climbing at the Pinnacles National Park, a stroll and picnic in the vineyards, a game of bocce ball, an afternoon swim in our lovely pool, watch the sunset over the Santa Lucias, and enjoy an evening of stargazing in this rare 'dark sky' setting away from city lights. Wines from our vineyards, Brosseau Wines, are available for purchase and are poured for tasting during our Saturday social hour. Available wines for purchase are Chardonnay, the Balconies White Blend, (a blend of Chenin Blanc, Viognier, Marsanne, Roussane), Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Brody's Blend, (a blend of Cabernet and Syrah). Monterey County's wine tasting rooms are just a short drive to the River Road Wine Trail.
Each of the six guest rooms has a queen bed, gas fireplace, air conditioner, private bath with soaking tub, kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator, private patio with a gas BBQ, and private entry. Innkeepers Jan and Jon reside on the premises and will prepare your morning breakfast, and assist with your needs.
Each room can accommodate up to two adults and two children 16 and under, or three adults. There is an extra person charge of $50 per night for the 3rd adult added to a room. Only registered guests may have use of the Inn and its surrounding property.
Cancellation Policy: A 7-day notice is required in order to receive a full refund of your deposit. Your deposit will be forfeited if notice is less than the required number of days and we are unable to re-rent the room. Year Purchased: 2002
Why the Owner Chose Monterey:
When we first purchased this property in 1978, the land was undeveloped and had been used for cattle grazing. We bought the property with the intent to plant a small vineyard and also as a weekend getaway from Silicon Valley. Our first planting was 16 acres of Chardonnay and one acre of Pinot Noir wine grapes. Over the years we added more vines and varietals to include Syrah and Cabernet. We currently have 40 acres in vines and sell to about eight winemakers throughout California. Our son manages the vineyards and has his own label, Brosseau Wines. In 1998 we decided a Bed and Breakfast would be a nice addition to the property. We started construction in 2000, and opened in April of 2002.
The Unique Benefits at this Bed And Breakfast:
The beautiful vistas, and sunsets, the peaceful sounds of nature, and the scent of the wild grasses make this a unique place to come for rest and relaxation.
