1 Bedroom Shipwatch Villa - Sweeping Oceanviews! Wifi!

The “Vista” Villa - This top floor Shipwatch villa is truly a one-of-a-kind - a special place that is perfect for your romantic escape. You won’t believe the incredible sweeping ocean views…
The beach is just a short elevator ride away and is also conveniently located to several restaurants, shops, golf and 30 minutes from historic downtown Charleston.
The Living Room is the essence of comfort with its lighted display cabinets, designer furniture and artwork, flat-screen tv/dvd combo with fully stocked DVD library and wireless internet access. But the star attractions are the two swivel rockers placed in front of the floor-to-ceiling window. From here you can see down the beach all the way to the east end of Kiawah. With the lush dunes, the wide sand beach, the shimmering Atlantic Ocean and the soft blue sky filling your view, it’s a vista so calming, you’ll be in a relaxed “vacation mode” from the moment you sit down.
The Kitchen has everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal - even if the most cooking you plan to do on your vacation is opening a bottle of wine. Special features include granite countertops, Tuscan tile floors, a farm sink and an oversized eat-at bar which faces the incredible view.
The Bedroom can only be described as absolutely sumptuous! With its rich warm colors, antique reproduction Tuscan bed and cloud-like bedding, leaving the bed each morning may be one of the most difficult things you’ll have to do all vacation. Go ahead and linger; pull back the heavy drapes and watch the sunrise over the shore. From the comfort of your bed you can see the same incredible views as from the Living Room. Step out onto your private balcony and enjoy your morning coffee while watching the beach come to life for yet another spectacular day. This is the place to sit and watch pelicans and seagulls as they fly toward you then swoop up in the air currents. The bedroom also features a flat-screen tv/dvd combo.
The Bathroom boasts a wide vanity topped with granite and offering 2 sinks and deep drawers for storage. The Tuscan-tiled tub enclosure shows off its beauty through clear glass doors. An original oil painting and individual framed mirrors adorn the walls. You can even see the incredible ocean view in the mirror’s reflection.

We've stayed at this unit several times and also other units owned by this company. The photos don't do the units justice. They are exceptionally clean and very well appointed. The owners make every effort to ensure you enjoy your stay. From beach towels, flashlight for night walks on the beach to comfortable beds and furniture, everything is provided. There is also a wide array of books about Kiawah and the surrounding islands as well as information about local restaurants and activities. We are big fans of Kiawah and the Charleston area and cannot imagine renting from anyone but Shawn and Jeanette.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

The property is exceptionally maintained and actually nicer than depicted in the photos! (and the photos are beautiful). Every detail attended to made our stay worthwhile...from the soft music and lighting when we entered the villa to the incredible ocean view, easy walk to the beach, and sipping wine on the deck. I would definitely stay here again if I were to visit Kiawah Island. Thank you Jeanette and Shawn.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at Kiawah Island Shipwatch Villa.Upon our arrival we were greeted with light music and lighting which set the mood,,,The villa was clean and well kept...The view is just amazing! Loved the decor as well, we felt like we were at home. The information provided was very helpful and making the reservations was very simple and checking in was great too. I recommed going to the market, plantations and dining at Charleston Crab Shack as it was very casual and the food was great. I highly recommend Kiawah to everyone, it is a great place to visit and so beautiful..We cant wait to return!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our visit to this condo was perfect. The unit is exactly as represented in photos and text. It is attractive, clean, and incredibly well-fitted out. The view is wonderful. The owners have an excellent system that makes it easy for the renter. All emails were answered almost instantly with helpful information. We loved doing breakfast and a few dinners in, eating on the deck with a fabulous view. We also ate at the Ocean Room which is absolutely marvelous (expensive, but marvelous), lunch on the deck at the Ocean Course where we were recognized on our second visit (yes, it was that nice and not all that expensive, get the shrimp), Tomasso's, and the Grill at Freshfields. We liked shopping each day at the grocery store, Newton Farms. We played the Turtle Point course which was in perfect condition and where the service was excellent. Next time we'll play the Ocean Course. We had planned to visit Charleston and Savannah but never left the Island. It was so fabulously relaxing that we just couldn't make ourselves go into the cities. We are already planning our next trip to Shipwatch Villa.,Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

About the owner: About Owners/Property Managers: Shawn and Jeanette Lawson (Kiawah Island Getaways) Shawn's family discovered Kiawah in 1978 and returned year after year for two-week vacations. In 1985 we drove our VW Bug convertible to Kiawah and Shawn introduced me to Kiawah. I remember stepping over the dune boardwalk out in front of the Kiawah Island Inn and seeing Kiawah's wide, sandy beach for the first time - it was so brilliant it practically danced before my eyes. It was during this vacation that the two of us decided to set our sights on moving to this beautiful and fascinating place permanently. In 1988 our dreams came true and our U-Haul rattled across the Kiawah Island bridge (at that time it was nothing more than a wood-planked bridge). For the next four years we rented a 1-bedroom villa, 4251 Mariner's Watch. Shawn was so thrilled to be living on the island that he spent the additional money required for the personalized South Carolina license plate "KIAWAH" (which we still own today). In 1992, we built our first home on the island at 134 Conifer Lane. During construction, I gave birth to our first son Benjamin - he arrived 2 months early in an ambulance outside of the Kiawah Island Fire Station. In 2001, we purchased our first villa, a 1-bedroom, beachside Seascape (3563) and Kiawah Island Getaways was born. Once we got our feet wet with the villa rental business, it was a like a fever for us. We both really enjoyed furnishing, decorating and maintaining the villas - not to mention the new found fun of meeting and talking to all sorts of people about Kiawah. Because we really enjoy what we do, other Kiawah Property Owners noticed and we started managing their properties as well. Our whole family loves Kiawah and running Kiawah Island Getaways is a true family-run business. We personally prepare each villa prior to your arrival - because we want your stay to be perfect. We want you to fall in love with Kiawah too...and we know you will!!
