Three miles in the other direction and you're on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Craven's Gap, near the Parkway's Folk Art Center, and abundant outdoor recreation. It is 15 minutes from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate - and you may buy discounted tickets directly from us with advance notice.
Asheville Mountain Vista is a four-bedroom. Three-bath, post and beam home with open and spacious living areas, ample decking on two levels, outdoor rock patio, fireplace and hot tub to provide guests with a breathtaking setting for added outdoor enjoyment, living & entertainment space.

Byron & Mary Bridges are the owners of Vacation In Asheville (VIA-NC), Oakland Cottage B&B, The Historic Brigman House & BreakAway Cabin, Asheville Mountain Vista, Avondale Ridge and Hawk's View Chalet.
Both Mary & Byron were raised in North Carolina and in their "younger days" were avid outdoor enthusiasts, working for several local outdoor companies, such as Nantahala Outdoor Center, North Carolina Outbound School and Eagles Nest Foundation (Mary still serves on the Board) - all organizations based out of the Mountains of North Carolina. This early work left them with knowledge of and love for the outdoors of Western NC. Later in life (once some reality about work set in), the two founded, owned & operated a Leadership Development Company, which is still in operation today. Through this work they developed and led leadership seminars & management programs all over the world. Not only have they experienced a great deal of travel themselves – and know what it feels like to be travelers - they ironically have very little need or desire to travel much anymore, preferring to stay right at home in fun & beautiful Asheville, NC. More recently, The Bridges adopted a child from Russia,- another reason the extensive travel just became too much, and probably why VIA-NC remains focused on family friendliness.
The Bridges' extensive travels worldwide, intensive “people work,” entrepreneurial spirit and values around family have led them to where they are today; VIA-NC - Oakland Cottage Bed and Breakfast & Vacation Rentals - is a perfect fit.
