We just returned home from a week in Sarasota and absolutely loved our stay. The cottage was just right for our family of 4. It was great hanging out on the porch wih our morning coffee (wish it had been warmer this week so that we could do it more often!) and my son made a ritual out of arranging the curtains each morning and evening. The owners were friendly and accommodating and we truly had every single thing we could have needed. The location was really convenient and I am glad that we chose a base close to Tamiami rather than staying out on the keys. We will be back for sure if we visit Sarasota again and will be happy to recommend the cottage to any of our Ringling friends who visit the area.

My wife, two children and I were forced to spend three days outside our home, which had to be tented for termites. Given these rather unpleasant circumstances, the cottage made for a really pleasant stay. The place was welcoming, clean and just fine for everyone. What really made a difference for me was the porch. Deprived of my home office, I set up shop to work from there with my phone and laptop. I have rarely been as productive as in this "office." It's quiet, but not secluded. It makes you feel like you're in the middle of the pleasant reality that is the historical Indian Beach neighborhood. It offers a view on everything going on in this quiet street, from squirrels chasing each other on the Japanese red pine tree in the front yard, ospreys perching high on the Norfolk Island Pine across the street, and bicyclists, dog walkers, power-walking neighbors, and children on their way to and from the school bus, to even the occasional car, this was the perfect backdrop to sometimes stressful work. And if even that was too much, there's always the option of walking or biking the six or seven blocks to the Indian Beach bay access, where many neighbors and visitors gather for sunsets. I am thinking of renting this place permanently as my office once my business revenues allow for it :-)

Owner response: We love the covered, screened porch! It's a great place to hang out with a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. The neighbors are out and about walking and enjoying their morning or evening walks..
Great cottage, great neighborhood, very close to everything!
Great cottage, great neighborhood, very close to everything!
My husband and I moved to Sarasota this summer and stayed here for a month while we were searching for our permanent home. This place was perfect. Very clean and perfect size for the two of us. The neighborhood was wonderful for walking around and out to the bay - especially nice in the morning. The owner, Don, was extremely helpful and accommodating for us while we were planning our move and while we were staying there. It had everything we needed for a temporary home and it was a great introduction to Sarasota. We highly recommend this cottage!

Our stay in Sarasota was extremely pleasant due to this very clean and comfy cottage. As soon as you walked in, you knew that time and effort was put in to this little gem. As a major convenience the owners provided several amenities (shampoo, coffee, paper towels, etc.) There were also items for the beach; chairs, a couple of umbrellas, small cooler, beach towels and a handy beach cart to tote it all! The cottage is also a great place to take a small child; there was a Pack 'n Play along with a high chair for our added convenience. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Sarasota which is extremely close to numerous beautiful beaches, shopping and dining. It is also a very short drive to Orlando (hour and 15 minutes) if you are looking to take your family to Disney World.
