This property is wonderful! The house has a beautiful open floor plan with great appliances and all the amenities you could ever want. The owners are extremelly easy to work with and very generous host. We went to see our son who is stationed there and it was the perfect visit. We were able to bring his dog, which was a wonderful suprise for him, due to the open pet policy. (Because of the wood floors were able to remove any trace of her visit. People with pet alergies shouldn't think twice about renting this property, it is wonderfully clean!) It was the next best thing to coming home for our son as we were able to cook family meals, rent movies...the dvd player works great and so does the remote unlike a comment from a previous review... and I was even able to send him off to work with cookies and other bake goods thanks to a kitchen aide mixer. His shipmates were extremelly grateful. We had a wondeful time walking to the beach, sitting out on the back porch, grilling steaks and hanging out as a family. Everything you need is there for a stress free vacation. We highly recommend this property and will definetly rent it again if it is available. My husband ask that I included his appreciation for a large driveway that easily accomodated two vehicles and the recycle bins :)

This was a great place and location. The home was in excellent condition inside and out. My daughter and her Fiance came to San Diego to get married and loved staying in this house. They had access to the beach, downtown, and all the amenities that San Diego has to offer. There was plenty of space in the home so we were able to have a nice reception and dinner with family and friends. Jennie, the home owner, was very friendly and helpful. I am recommending this home to all my family who come to visit San Diego - it's a much better deal than a week in a hotel and you get all the comforts of home. We absolutely loved it.

Owner response: We enjoyed having your family as guests, and welcome your family next time you need extra space. We're very pleased to have had a small part in making your daughter's wedding memorable. Thank you for taking good care of our home and for taking time to provide feedback.
I would not recommend this house to anyone!! I arrived prior to my family getting in and proceeded to go grocery shopping before heading to the property. I had spoken with Jen prior to going to the property and was told a key would be there in a lock box. Upon arriving with $200 worth of meats and perishable groceries, there was no key and Jen and Richard were out of town. Jen actually suggested I try to break into the house through a cracked window, which I was not comfortable with at all. 3 hours later, around 8pm, the property manager’s niece finally let me in but I had to throw out all of the meat and perishables I purchased due to it spoiling. So after this ordeal, I just wanted to get to sleep. When putting my bed together, because there were no linens on any of the beds when we arrived, I found that one of the master bedroom pillows has blood on it from a previous tenant. Disgusting. The master bathroom shower leaks extensively and the amount of water that ends up on the floor is to the point of it actually being a safety concern. The washing machine made all the linens and towels smell moldy. We rewashed EVERYTHING and it all smelled moldy, even our clothes. There was massive construction on the actual street where the house was, which we were never told about by Jen and Richard, that blocked the ‘views of downtown’. The air conditioning / thermostat kept shutting off and did not work properly and it got hot at night in the house. The DVD player is probably the cheapest DVD player ever with no remote. While this may not sound like a big deal, it is with DVD’s because when you just hit play, it only plays the trailers and you can’t select play movie! To be honest with you, I would never recommend this to someone else. Staying here was a major bummer and not worth the money at all. Jen did refund me $300 for the first night key fiasco, but it still wasn't worth it in the long run.

Excellent, comfortable, wonderful home
Excellent, comfortable, wonderful home
We immensely enjoyed our stay at this property, which is beautiful, comfortable and equipped with a first-rate kitchen and a first-rate internet connection. There is a large yard in the back, and it is situated in Point Loma, which is my favorite place in San Diego. It is very close to wonderful beaches and reefs, parks, a beach town (Ocean Beach), and colorful city life and all of the wonders of San Diego. The owners were helpful and reasonable, and they helped to make our stay agreeable and easy. They allowed us to have our dogs with us, and we put up a temporary fence so that our dogs had the run of the backyard. It was a wonderful, happy stay for all of us. I highly recommend this property as a vacation rental or temporary rental in San Diego. (We stayed there while they made repairs to our home.)

A splendid place for snowbirds
A splendid place for snowbirds
My husband and I rented this lovely home for three months during the winter to escape the cold and rain at our northwest beach home. It was the perfect spot for us in that it is located in a very quiet, peaceful and safe neighborhood while still being in the heart of San Diego and close to all of the beaches, downtown, parks and amenities that the city has to offer. We enjoyed walking our dog a few blocks up to the Nazene College campus which has splendid views of the ocean and strolling along the bay water front on Shelter Island which is a short car ride down the hill. The house is roomy and well laid out. We found it in immaculate condition and very well equipped for a rental of this type. The beds are especially comfortable. Although this is an older home, it has been thoughtfully renovated and updated with modern appliances in the kitchen and bathrooms while still maintaining all of its charm. Best of all were the very obliging landlords who were extremely attentive and responsive to the slightest problem we encountered to ensure that our stay was a pleasant one. We have nothing negative to report about this rental and would happily stay there again.

Charming Residential Location
Charming Residential Location
We would recommend this VRBO home as your home-away-from-home! We stayed for two weeks then extended for two more weeks! The house was clean and well appointed though the furniture pictures have not been updated yet. The backyard is well maintained and perfect for your furry pets. The owners live a block away and Richard is over frequently to maintain the yard and the ambience of the property. Jennie is lovely and is the perfect hostess. She will do her very best to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The property is easy to find and a pleasant stroll to the beaches and the pier. There is a market, cleaners, pharmacy, sandwich shop and yogurt shop a few blocks away for your walking enjoyment. Oh, the red door is brown natural wood so look for that change. There are plenty of beach towels and linens for your personal use. The appliances are top grade and in excellent working condition. You don't need to bring anything except your clothes and personal care items; everything else is provided. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Plenty of off street parking in a safe and charming beach community environment. A close cab ride to Little Italy or Downtown. The public metro system is great for getting around San Diego so if you are used to using the city bus line you will find it very helpful and easy to use. You won't be disappointed and sure to be back again and again!

We stayed at this property for a week, to start off, it is everything one expects when reviewing the pictures, the owners Jenny and Richard are very friendly and welcomed us upon arrival. Jenny showed us around the property and was always available with any questions we had. The house is beautiful, very clean and well equipped. We had most of our meals there and found everything we needed. It is a quiet, beautiful neghborhood yet close to downtown, beautiful beaches and major attractions. I highly recommended and plan to rent it again.
