- Minimum stay:2-3 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
This comfortable apartment (60 m2) on the first floor of a 17th century canal house on the Keizersgracht has a magnificent view over one of the most beautiful canals of Amsterdam. If you want to explore Amsterdam, or you need a stay for a business visit, this apartment is a great start of your experience of the city.
The apartment is located in the trendy area The Nine Streets, downtown, within walking distance of Leidseplein and Dam Square and numerous restaurants and shops.
The apartment is light and beautifully furnished with a combination of antique, vintage and modern style and an old wooden floor.
The Living room has 3 huge windows on the Keizersgracht and is connected with an open, brand new kitchen . The bedroom is quiet at the back with a double bed, with folding doors to a terrace of 2x4 m. If you can't resist you can smoke there.
The bathroom has a bath and rain shower.
In the living room there is also a comfortable sofa bed available.
'The best experience in Amsterdam, after 6 times spent in different houseboats or apartments throughout the 3 canals areas, this one is definitely the best ever. The owner is very kind and welcoming, the apartment design is a mix of modernity and vintage style, where you directly feel like an inhabitant of the town. Free bikes to discover the city is a real chance and opportunity to feel the city the best way. The location is incredible, the view is marvelous and sunny until the sun sets through the big window of the living room. We'll for sure come back in the apartment the next time in Amsterdam...' This apartment is spacious, stylish and located on a beautiful street with great views overlooking one of the famous Amsterdam canals. It is ideally placed for a stay in the city, within easy walking distance of the station, and the museums, but on a lovely, quiet street with lots of nice places to eat nearby, as well as arty shops and delis. Fleur made us feel very welcome with flowers in a bowl and wine in the fridge! Inside the flat, the beds were comfy and all the amenities excellent. Fleur also very kindly offered us the use of two bikes. If I were returning to Amsterdam, I'd definitely stay here again, and if any friends were going, I'd highly recommend.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Fleur's apartment. The location is fabulous and very central. Amsterdam is such a great city for walking and there was plenty to do and see within walking distance. Tram stops are also closeby. The apartment was clean and spacious and Fleur even had a bouquet of fresh tulips in a vase on the table. The view of the canal from the front room is just as lovely as the photos on the website. I especially enjoyed the Sunday Noodermarket, with fresh organic produce, cheeses, artisans wares, etc. Westertraat Street has lots of "specialty shops". One of my favorites is Natuurdrogist Lavendula. They carry the most wonderful natural perfumes and skin care products.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the New Year's celebrations in this accurately described Canal House apartment. Many amenities, such as a good selection of CDs, two bikes for use around the city and comfortable furniture make this a cozy retreat from the surrounding bustling neighborhood. Even though the large windows afford a great view on the beautiful canal-scape, the apartment was amazingly quiet. Once you descend the steep steps from the 3rd floor, you are in the middle of one of Amsterdam's most vibrant, yet not touristed areas, the Nine Streets, which is full of restaurants, cafes, trendy shops and food stores. So much to explore in this area alone! The owner was friendly, caring and very knowledgeable about the area, answering all of our questions, as well as being available to address any issues we had during our stay. We would highly recommend this cozy retreat to anyone visiting Amsterdam, in fact we are planning to return this summer to visit some exciting exhibitions in the city, all within a walk or bike ride from the apartment.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Great Location, very quiet but yet very close to everything. The apartment was very spacious , very well equipped and was the perfect accomodation for a great stay in Amsterdam. The booking was made very easy by Fleur Gieben , she greeted us with a bottle of wine , a map of the city and even called us a cab at the end of our stay. We'll be backRecommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My wife and I rented this apartment for our honeymoon and we were not disappointed (pictures do not convey the beauty of this apartment). The Owner (Fleur) was extremely accommodating, and just a lovely woman. Fleur did everything to ensure that our stay was more than pleasant, even taking myself for a bike ride upon our arrival, and pointing out the various places to visit (restaurants, grocery store, cheese & wine shops, etc.). The neighbors were respectful and very hospitable. The location is perfect - just a few blocks from Dam Centre and very quiet. Best of all, the our rental came with two bikes so we could ride around like locals. I would recommend this rental apartment to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable stay, and still enjoy the atmosphere of living in the city. You will not be disappointed!!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1983
About the owner: I have been living in Amsterdam for more than 30 years, first studying law and urban planning and later on working for the mayors office among other jobs. I have a LAT-relation with my partner Jan, who lives in Zeist, 50 km east of Amsterdam, where I spend most of my weekends. We love biking, skating in the winter and hiking in the summer.
Why the Owner Chose Amsterdam:
We bought this canal house with four friends nearly 30 years ago and split it in four independent apartments. We still live with 3 of the 4 original buyers, in good harmony!
The apartments are designed by an architect, each with its own character. My apartment is recently redesigned with a new kitchen and bathroom.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
The canalview from my living room is still stunning, whether it is the sunset in the summer or the people skating on the ice in the winter.
Biking to the Dam, Leidseplein or Vondelpark in 5 minutes makes the location perfect. You can use our two bikes for free!
