Brand new 1200 square foot home, ideally located in West Tisbury, away from the crowds, close to Vineyard Haven, and an easy drive up-island is now available. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from your bluestone patio complete with outdoor dining table, lounge seating, and gas grill.
This two-suite home sleeps four. Guests will enjoy the privacy created by a breezeway between the two. The house's unique design offers an open floor plan kitchen/living room decorated with mid-century modern influences. There are vaulted beamed ceilings and maple hardwood floors throughout the house.
Both bedrooms feature queen beds, flat screen HD televisions, ceiling fans, air conditioning, writing desks, sliding glass doors, and ample dresser and closet space. The large master bedroom has a impressive bathroom walk-in shower/steambath with a bench. The second suite's private bathroom has a shower with Vermont Verde marble, a separate private bluestone patio which is perfect for sunbathing, and a separate entrance from the breezeway.
Other amenities include an outdoor shower, gas grill, a large capacity washer & dryer, large TV in living room, cablevision, complimentary wi-fi internet access, an I-Pod dock/CD/FM player, a wood stove, a Viking 4 burner range, a dishwasher, a fully equiped kitchen, plush towels, beach chairs & towels, bed linens, binoculars with a Peterson bird guide, Island books of interest, board games and cards, and a free library of books for your enjoyment. The house has wonderful natural light, with bedroom windows that overlook the woods. A wall of windows with French doors in the kitchen/living room, face west, and overlook a field farmed for cut flowers. They provide a beautiful foreground for perfect sunsets.
Only 3.4 miles from Main St. Vineyard Haven, you will also be 1/4 mile from the State Forest's paved and dirt bike paths that connect to the extensive network of paths around the island, 1.4 miles from the Elementary School's tennis courts, and 3.3 miles from the Town's beautiful (residents & renters only) Lambert's Cove beach (fee from Parks & Rec for beach sticker), and 3.5 miles from historic West Tisbury village center which is home to the renown West Tisbury Farmers' Market (Wed. & Sat.). The house is 5.9 miles from the Airport.

This is the perfect home with everything you could possibly ask for. It is extremely comfortable with a earthy yet modern feel. It has everything you need and much more. It is warm, peaceful and in the perfect location, secluded yet close to town. Just so you know, the owner is very easygoing and extremely accommodating.This is by far the best place I have stayed on Martha's Vineyard and I have been coming here for the past 17 years...wish this place was mine:) Look no further, this is the spot!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

A clean, comfortable, contemporary, and well equipped home for adults; exactly what we wanted. A really fantastic stay for us -- very relaxaing and exceeded our expectations. The weather was pretty mild during our stay and we made the most of it biking and walking beaches (a short drive). I thought the location was perfect for exploring. Personally, I loved the privacy and the rural feel the house provided and was glad we weren't crammed into a neighborhood in Edgartown. The owner was welcoming and was there if we needed him. I would highly recommend this home!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our late-season stay in this house in West Tisbury. It was Quiet, clean, open, private, just perfect for us and a much needed respite. I enjoyed the steam shower, especially after a days of hiking and beach walking! And we also enjoyed the wood-burning stove, very cozy this time of year. We would like to stay here again next year during the fall season, our favorite time on Martha's Vineyard.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, people with disabilities.

I had the good fortune of being one of the first guests at this beautiful home. The house has everything one would want in a rental and more. The setting amongst a field of flowers is open and airy with beautiful light flowing throughout the house. The place was immaculate and so easy to be in. There wasn't one thing the owners hadnt thought of to make your stay welcoming and lovely. From fresh flower arrangements, fantastic steam room, lovely artwork, tasteful furnishings, comfortable bedding, flat screen tv's--- this house had it all. The owners are extremely responsive and thoughtful and though they live on the property, you have complete privacy at all times. The outdoor space is also charming and inviting, and the location is perfect for finding your way anywhere around the island. We are already looking forward to our return next summer!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We just got home from this wonderful vacation retreat and we sure miss it!. This home was absolutely perfect. We have stayed in VRBO's in London, NYC, Venice Beach, and San Francisco and this was the best by far. The house is beautiful. Windows that look out on beautiful fields with flowers growing. The furniture in modern and comfortable and stylish. We were amazed at all the little touches such as robes, flowers, and wine. My husband loved the steam in the shower. I loved the outdoor shower. It felt like we were at a 5 star resort. The house is also very practical. The large open kitchen/eating area would have been great if we were traveling with another couple. The bedrooms are also each very nice with good beds. The kitchen had everything you might want to cook a full meal. You can't beat the location. We really enjoyed getting passes to Lambert's Cove beach. We made a daily stop to Scottish Bakehouse on State Road. Finally, the hosts were so lovely. He checked on us, but gave us our full privacy. When we arrived tired, he gave us just the right place to eat. My only hesitation in writing this review is that this lovely home may be booked when I want to return!Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

We just returned from our stay as the first renters for this house. We loved how simple the layout is, the steam shower, outdoor shower, laundry - everything was super accessible in this very elegant home. Dinner outside was lovely - beds were very comfortable! The lighting was fabulous! Even my cooking felt like it improved in that super fun kitchen. The space was perfect for the three of us! Will be frequent flyers!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

About the owner: We are a married couple living on the same eight acre property as the new guest house rental, but well out of sight. We live and work on the Island year round. I am originally from Western Pennsylvania, and my wife was born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island.
