We had a wonderful first time stay at Sugar Beach Resort. Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing stay. The condo was very clean, comfortable, with an unbeatable ocean view and everything we needed for our stay. Booking was super simple through the website/email and we had no problems. The pool and hot tub were nice, bbq facilities were fun and handy, and the location of this condo on the island felt centrally located for driving either west or south to other areas to visit other beaches and and restaurants. The beach itself was great for walking, but not so much for snorkeling/swimming. We also had a good experience with the Sand-witch, the onsite bar/restaurant. Great drinks and yummy food and very convenient. We can't wait for our next visit!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Sugar Beach resort is everything we were looking for on our Maui vacation! It is RIGHT ON THE BEACH!!!!! Open your door and walk 30 feet into the ocean. It is located well for sightseeing, has a great pool and hot tub, a little on-site store for daily needs, and a little sandwich shop/ restaurant bar that is open till 10pm most nights. It even has a massage place if you are so inclined, as well as a site seeing office that will help you with anything you need to know and will rent you beach gear if you need it. You can even rent DVDs. There are BBQ's as well by the pool if you want to spend an evening grilling and eating on your lanai while the sun sets. The beach is perfect for long walks and swimming. It can be a bit windy but who cares, and frankly it was windy on every beach we visited on the island. It was perfect for us. The unit itself was terrific and we were very happy with it. All the comforts of home are included. It was exactly as described and the pictures show. I would not hesitate to rent this unit again. Very helpful owner who gives you great tips on where to go and what to see. Thumbs up for Sugar Beach Resort!

This is an excellent condo that contains everything that you will need for a wonderful holiday. You have a great view of the beach, it's quiet, clean, comfortable and close to the pool and hot tub, and also has easy access to your car for offloading groceries. The owner was super helpful and everything went really well. We loved the beach where you could walk for miles and it is in close proximity to a lot of the things that you will want to do in Maui. There are services on site to book your tours and a store and super clean BBQ's to grill your meals. All in all a 10 out of 10 and we will definitely be going back to this condo! We recommend the bike ride down the volcano, the tour to Hana and around the Island, a meal at Bubba Gump's, visiting the Aquarium, surfing and paddle boarding at Goofy Foot, relaxing on your deck (we saw turtles and whales) and snorkelling at Polo Beach - all highlights of our vacation!
