Large, secluded two-story Fire Island classic modern beach house with spectacular western views overlooking several hundred acres of uninhabited Fire Island National Seashore. Four bedrooms (sleeps eight), two baths, outdoor shower. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, BBQ charcoal grill. Dog friendly.

We're on the last walk on the western end of town - steps from the Ocean and the Bay. QUIET & wraparound deck is completely private. The sunsets really are better from here!

                                Beach house is located in Davis Park, which is the easternmost community on Fire Island. There is is a local restaurant/bar 'The Casino', a local general store, liquor store and snack bar, and there is a post office with a book exchange. You can swim, surf, go windsurfing, surf fish in the ocean, go crabbing or clamming in the bay, go birdwatching or beachcombing, hike east to the Watch Hill National Seashore recreation area or just take it easy. Davis Park is quiet, rustic and the perfect getaway. For those unfamiliar with this part of Fire Island - there are no roads, no cars, but everything in town is a short walk away....morecollapse

                              Year Purchased: 1977

                              About the owner: We built #6 Fifth Walk in 1977 on property we'd owned for several years. It's a classic modern beach house and we value it for it's quiet and privacy. It's always been a getaway where our family can enjoy the company of friends and recharge ourselves for the work week.

                              Why the Owner Chose Davis Park:
                              Currently, three generations of our family, from Grandparents to grandchildren, enjoy our house. Davis Park is where our family has spent every summer since the early 60's; its a classic beach community, but its also a unique one, with a diverse make up with families and singles from all across the region.
