Our lakefront cottage is filled with every amenity and tastefully decorated to make you feel at home as soon as you step through the door and see wall to wall windows over looking School Section Lake. School Section is an All Sports lake within 1/2 a mile of the Canadian Lakes chain and all of the amenities this resort area has to offer.
Enjoy peak golfing with two of the state's top golf courses, St Ives and Tullymore. Tullymore was named #1 new upscale golf course by Golf Digest when it opened in 2002. Numerous other courses in area for every level of golfer.
School Section Lake itself offers a beautiful meandering lake setting, our cottage is situated right on the end of a cove, allowing you to enjoy beautiful sunsets, and a less busy waterfront than other parts of the lake. Private dock for you to enjoy fishing, sandy beach for the kids to play in. Also, within a 3 minute walk is a large park on the lake, with its own playground and large swimming area.

We had a wonderful, relaxing week on School Section Lake! The cottage was beautifully decorated--light -airy- comfortable with wall to wall windows for gorgeous lake views! The grandchildren ( ages 10,7 and 5) spent the week --fishing, kayaking,swimming , tubing and exploring the county park just down the road. We roasted marshmallows over a lakefront fire almost every night! There is a small grocery store ,harware store and gas station just minutes away to pick up those things you may have forgotten --like fishing bait! On one rainy day , we drove 40 minutes to Mt Pleasant, MI --did some shopping, saw a movie and had dinner--could have gone to the Casino-but ran out of time! This cottage on School Section Lake is a great spot for a family vacation or just a get- away for the 2 of you-it has everything you could want and more-I would highly recommend it!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

Great family friendly getaway. The boys (7, 9,12) loved fishing, kayaking, & swimming. Wonderful neighbors & neighborhood. Loved the trails to the beach and putt putt/ice cream/pizza. We loved using the fire pit. Lots of amenities, very clean, lots of movie choices for the rainy days. Beautiful cottage. Thanks for a great experience!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

Our 8-day stay at this property was just what we were looking for....quiet, peaceful, very relaxing, but yet fun for two 13 year olds! We were able relax while the kids could fish, bike, kayake, swim etc.! Having the dock was great, as we were able to bring waverunners with us and take the kids tubing! The cottage was just perfect, we felt right at home upon our arrival! The owners were very helpful with answering questions leading up to our trip. We did not need to contact them during our stay! The neighbors were very friendly also! We did do a day trip to Silver Lake Dunes, which was easy to get to but does take about 1hr 30min to get there but very much worth it! We truly enjoyed our stay! We highly recommend this place, if you are looking to get away to relax and just enjoy the family!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: We recently purchased this beautiful cabin because its next door to family. It has every amenity and feels so relaxing to be here with our kids. We own other properties in the state and own a property management company in Central Michigan. We hope you will enjoy the cabin as much as we do!
