This sweet coach house has a balcony double-size bedroom overlooking a lovely alcove lit sitting room with a stove, a TV, a sofa, and a single bed. Beside this is a kitchen including a refrigerator/freezer, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and oven. Through the next door is the bathroom complete with a widely spaced shower.
A sandy tidal beach lies just a short minute's walk away and offers a tranquil swim, a rugged coastline climb, or just a wander around the beach.
The surrounding countryside is dotted with small colourful towns and villages,which provide a range of food from irish pub grub to high restaurant quality standard.
Clonakilty, the home of Michael Collins, is just seven miles from the cottage and has a wide variety of delicious restaurants and in particular a traditional Irish pub where many renowned and lively bands play most nights, De Barra's. There is also a hotel and spa in Incheydoney with an indoor sea water pool and a thalassic health spa.
Bandon and Lisselan offer great golf clubs - Bandon (18 holes) and Lisselan (six holes). Bandon also has fishing on the sea trout and salmon river, day passes are available from Michael O'Reagan. Also Kilcoleman fishery is well worth the day. Contact David Lamb.
Kinsale, a lively harbouring town, is 23 miles and well worth the trip. Be it during the day for some sightseeing (from 17th century forts to rugged walks along the headlands kinsale is a haven for tourists)or by night for an uplifting irish experience, lively pubs host some excellent bands. Toddies restaurant is a fantastic and atmospheric place to relax after a day of rambling.The food and wine is superb and never fails to please.
Courtmacsherry is five miles away and has sailing, riding, sea fishing, and windsurfing facilities along the beautiful strand. The nearest shop is two-and-one-half miles away and is a big Co-Op. And the nearest pub is one-half mile away.
Kilbrittan, a 20 minute drive from the coach house hosts a fabulous restaurant, Casino house, well worth a visit.
For extra accommodation, we also rent out a cottage which sleeps seven. It has three bedrooms... all with king-size beds and one with an extra single bed as well. It has an open plan sitting room/kitchen and dining area. One of the bedrooms has a balcony which leads down into the garden. There is also a herb garden in this available for your use.
