No kidding, the view is spectacular with Mount Riante in the distance. We are on the main channel facing due South which is important because it means NO BUGS and there is always a nice breeze.
We are just outside the city limits of Hot Springs which means we are minutes away from everything, 5 minutes from Oaklawn Park, yet located on a private, quiet peninsula.
We have a swim dock and a boat dock available with a marina a few hundred yards away to gas up the boat. You will put your boat in at Hill Wheatley park and hop across the main channel to our boat dock.
We have covered parking for your vehicle or your boat trailer. You will want to put your boat in prior to coming to cottage as we have a steep driveway.

Family of 5 stayed in this house and loved it. Everything was clean and well maintain. Great location, close to shops and state park. Beautiful and quiet place to relax and get away. Great family gathering place. The deck makes a wonderful place to visit with a beautiful view. We will come back again. Our family takes vacation at least twice a year at a rental property and found this one very nice for our small family. The fishing wasn't great because of the weather and the local marinas were all out of fuel for rental boats (????). Other than that, we really enjoyed the shopping, theater, shows, museums, horse racing, and lots more. I highly recommend a meal cruise on th Belle of Hot Springs. Great time with family, just not used to neighbors so close and driveway so steep. Make sure your parking-brake works if you don't park in the garage.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

My husband, myself, and my two toddlers stayed the weekend in this cabin. The view is beautiful. The driveway is very steep as described, but it was not a problem for us. The cabin is furnished with everything that you need. It was neat, clean, and very comfortable. We had a realaxing stay, and I hope we can return during the summer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Loved the house right on the lake. We had a wonderful time. Everything was there the dishes pots and pans. We just needed the food. We brought our boat and left it docked by the house very nice.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We spent a thursday through saturday. The deck, patio, and dock were the most relaxing place we have been in a long time. Very nice place to stay if the weather is nice. We didn't spend much time indoors, except to sleep. It was fine. A list of channels on the satellite tv would have been helpful. We finally gave up looking for tv shows. Like I said we didn't spend much time inside anyway. Kitchen was well equipped as well. We will come back for sure!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

The house was in a beautiful location and we had a great time! The only complaint I have is that the inside of the house (floors, bathtub and showers) were very dirty and had obviously not been cleaned well prior to our arrival. The bathtub was so dirty we could not even give our kids a bath. Other than that complaint, everything else was great! We would love to go back as long as things are cleaned better the next time. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and the Hot Springs area is a beautiful place!Recommended for: Families with young children.

I wish you would have contacted me while you were there I would have made sure I sent them back out to clean it properly!! I hope you will try us again. Thanks for your response

About the owner: Myself, my wife and our two girls live in Dallas, Texas. My wife is originally from Hot Springs and we travel here as much as time will allow. We love the Hot Springs area, and wanted someplace on the lake where we could get away.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Hamilton:
We love this property because of the spectacular views and southerly breeze. We had a place in a cove at one time, and the mosquitos were unbearable.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
There are multiple decks to lounge on and great swimming. We are minutes from everything by both boat and car. It is a perfect location.
