  We had a wonderful stay in Gainesville and where we stayed made it all that much better. When we arrived, the owner meet us at the property and gave us a tour. We have stayed at quite a few VRBO’s and never has the owner meet us at the door. She was very helpful and suggested some sights around town we should visit. The property is next to the Vet School, across the street from the Hospital and within walking distance from UF. We did not drive much, instead walking to UF stadium and all around campus and felt safe the whole time. The neighborhood seems to be mostly students and was very quiet. We did not have any problems with the apartment and it was prefect for our needs of a weekend getaway. It was fully stocked with linens, kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies and everything we needed in the bathroom. The only thing you will need to bring is clothes and food. I would recommend this property and will stay again when in the area.

  We have been here since Jan 23rd and we certainly enjoyed our stay at Summit Hill Dominions. Upon our arrival late at night we were just tired after the long flight from Germany. So we had a good warm shower and slept until early morning (late morning German time). We were hungry and to our nice surprise we found all the items required for a good and healthy breakfast. A very pleasant way to express that we were welcome! My wife and I had a very tight research program with the UF and our working hours differed according to experimental requirements. The close distance to the university and the honeybee lab were extremely valuable. Altogether we want to thank Susannah Peddie for letting us stay in her nice and beautifully equipped apartment. We had and we will further recommend her condos. In case you need a comfortable place to stay independently of the red tape of a large hotel this is your place! To summarize our apartment was a real five star home for the last 7 weeks! Thanks Susannah! Niko & Gudrun

  The apartment was exactly as advertised on VRBO. The place was well furnished, quiet and comfortable. Parking was very easy. It is also conveniently located to most things in Gainesville. It was much nicer than a motel because you have a separate living room, dining area, and fully kitchen. We ate in one night and cooked a nice meal, but since it is close to so many restaurants we took advantage of the restaurants and mostly ate out. Thank you.

  We were first time VRBO users but will definitely choose this apartment again. So much better than staying in a hotel! The owner (Susannah) got us off to a great start with communication that was informative and helpful. We were personally met on arrival by the apartment manager (Jeremy) who showed us into the very accurately described apartment. It is just like the pictures, clean - neat & well decorated. Our trip was to visit our son who is a grad student at UF. Our daily walks around campus were enjoyable and really helped us get the feel of where he is staying. We took in the Harm Museum of Art and Museum of Natural History. The women's gymnastics team at the "O Dome" was fabulous to watch. A trip to Lake Wauburg for a picnic got us some great scenery and wildlife including an 8 ft. Gator! Nearby to shopping and many restaurants. So close to everything we wanted to do. We most definitely recommend this property and will stay here again on our next visit!

  I have travelled around the country working for the government and have lived in various hotels, temporary quarters and the likes, but I must say this is one of the nicest properties in which I have ever lived. Very spacious living area, the property is very clean and all the amenities a renter would need to feel right at home. Walking distance to restaurants, department stores, and very safe neighborhood. The owner makes the before, during, and after rental experience a smooth transition. She will even have someone help you pack/unpack your belongings if needed. I would highly recommend this property to my family and friends planning to stay in Gainesville and surrounding areas. Thank you so very much- what a great host you are!

  The condo ownder was super friendly and her condo was absolutely perfect!! It's close to everything and was so well put together. It was nice to have a place of our own instead of a hotel room. We will definitely stay in one of Susannah's places again. Thank you!!!

  If there had been more stars to color in, I would color in all of them. I had the delight of being in one of Susannah's condos this last week. My connection with Susannah pre-stay, during the stay, and post-stay had me feeling most welcome and learning what was available that could enhance my stay both in the condo and in the community. Susannah is the full host, spunky, fun, upbeat and responsive. She helped me trouble-shoot and resolve issues that came up for me in travel and my stay. I felt like she created the "pillow" of an experience and I could rest head, heart and soul in this sweet condo with her colorful photography, furnishings and self. I did cook in the condo throughout the week. What a delight to have a full kitchen in working order. I traveled for health reasons and this condo nurtured myself and another fellow healer whom I met during the week and invited to stay with me. Thank you, Susannah. You'll be singing praises of "Oh, Susannah"...thankful for the base from which you have your own fine experience in Gainesville. We did get to take in the 300,000 bats coming out at twilight from the bat houses on the Univ. of Florida campus AND see our first alligator, along with turtles and herons after leaving Susannah's apartment and taking flight ourselves to our west coast abodes. Thank you, Susannah. To all of you, enjoy your experience here with a great host and a fun landing pad of a condo to come home to. Susannah made my experience here so much fun. It was my first VRBO experience...and if it should be anything like this again...I can say, for me, that it far outdoes being in a hotel, so much more personal, as personal and as private as I could want it to be all at the same time.

  We came from abroad to stay in Gainesville for a few years and needed a temporary home for 2 weeks before finding a permanent place. After a long journey with two young children along we were exhausted. We felt relieved as soon as we stepped in: we felt at home!!! Beautiful pieces of Susannah's art hanging on the walls, gorgeous furniture! Very nice and comfortable apartment in a quiet, friendly and safe neighborhood. Pool area clean and well kept. The place is close to Campus and Shands. Moreover Susannah is a great host, she is radiant and smiling. She is willing to help in any way possible! We are more than happy to have been here!   I stayed for some time in this place - and will never stay anywhere else again. The apartment has beautiful renovations - split face marble in the bathroom, very modern and sleek kitchen with a beautiful gas range and dishwasher, not to mention a huge refrigerator! The big creamy leather sectional in the living room is perfect for watching the wall-mounted TV and Blu-Ray, and high speed internet is included! Parking was a breeze - never had trouble finding a spot by the door, unlike most of the rest of Gainesville. We had a duck sandwich at the Blue Gill restaurant (which we walked to) and it was fantastic. The neighborhood felt safe, looked very much like the "Gainesville" aesthetic. Adams Ribs (one of the best rib joints in town) will be coming soon I saw as well! Also within walking distance was a CVS for quick things, and a very short drive to Winn Dixie or Publix, Walmart, Target, Lowes, and other shopping on Archer Rd. The owner provided excellent service - the place was as clean as a whistle, and the linens were crisp. The air worked very well, and kept the place very comfortable. Neighbors were quiet, mostly medical students sleeping during the day and working at Shands at night, from what I could observe. Payment was convenient, and the owner was very good at communicating with us. I know this sounds like a travel brochure, but I really can't say enough about this gem in Gainesville. If my own home had finishings like this, I would never go on vacation!

Nightly rates are $125/ night with a minimum of 2 nights

Weekly rates are $560 for the week

Monthly rates are $1650 for the entire month

Special event weekends are $560 for the weekend (graduation weekends, football weekends, and others)

Rates are subject to change until reservation is completed.

Cancellation policy:

The parties agree that the following are material covenants and conditions of this Rental Agreement: 1. Guest shall not damage the rental premises or any part thereof or any personal property or appurtenance therein or thereto, and if the premises, or any part thereof, or any personal property or appurtenance thereto are damaged, obstructed or rendered inoperable by the misuse or negligence of Guest, Guest’s guests, family, agents or employees, Guest shall pay the cost for repair or replacement of same immediately upon presentation by Owner of a bill for same. 2. Guest agrees not to commit waste or to use the rental premises or any appliances or appurtenances thereof or thereto for any disorderly or unlawful or offensive purpose. 3. No pets allowed in or around the rental premises. 5. RADON DISCLOSURE: Pursuant to §404.056(8), Florida Statutes, Radon a naturally occurring radioactive gas that, when it has accumulated in a building in sufficient quantities, may present health risks to persons who are exposed to it over time. Levels of radon that exceed Federal and State guidelines have been found in buildings in Florida. Additional information regarding radon and radon testing may be obtained from your public health unit. 6. Guest agrees that Owner and Owner’s agents shall not be liable for any loss of or damage to any personal property in or on the rental premises or stored in rooms or places provided to Guest in connection therewith, nor shall Owner or Owner’s agents or employees be liable to Guest, Guest’s family, guests, or agents for failure to repair or maintain any part of the rental premises or property contained therein absent gross negligence. Guest further agrees that neither Owner, nor Owner’s agents or employees shall be liable for any damage to the personal property of the Guest, Guest’s family, guests, or agents arising from theft, vandalism, fire, water, rain, acts of God or government, interruption of utilities, acts of others or other third party or external causes whatsoever. 7. Guest is responsible for and shall indemnify the Owner and Owner’s agents and hold them harmless from any and all claims, liability, demands, actions, causes of action, expenses, damages, losses or injuries sustained by any person including Guest, Guest’s family, agents, guests or invitees as a result of or arising from the Guest’s subject occupancy and tenancy, including, but in no way limited to claims arising from the use of playground which are part of the rental premises. Guest shall also be liable and indemnify Owner for attorney’s fees and court costs incurred by Owner in enforcing any of the terms, covenants or conditions of this Rental Agreement or which are sustained by Owner as a result of or arising from or during Guest’s subject occupancy and tenancy.
