We have 1/4 mile of White Salmon river frontage, including views of Mt. Adams.

The home has 3 spacious floors. Three very large bedrooms, den, dining and living rooms, mud room, laundry room, and a 3rd floor dedicated to children or fun-loving adults (6 beds and a bathroom). There are 4 full bathrooms available. There is a king bed in the master, and queen beds in the other bedrooms. For larger parties, the home has an attached apartment with a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedroom (queen bed). This apartment is attached to the home and has a private entrance. It also has an entrance to the main home via a lockable door. There is a private deck for the apartment guests. The home can sleep 14 while the apartment can sleep 4. We also have 4 wrap around decks to view the river frontage and a 3 car garage (2 to be used for guests), fire pit, and 22 acres of peace and quiet.

We loved this house! We had 16 people and there was more than enough room for everyone! Everything was very clean and it was so large and spacious that we felt like we could do everything we wanted and needed to do. It was equipped with all the right kitchen and bathroom items and we loved the patio tables and furniture so we could eat outside every night. The master bedroom was amazing and there was so much to do in see in Trout Lake. We loved the local cafe and the Bentos! This would be a great place for anyone to stay! The only thing we couldn't figure out was how to keep the house cool in the day, especially the top bedroom. But it was fine because it cooled down at night.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We took a group of friends up to this home for a weekend getaway and had a blast! The home was great in size and comfort and the snow made the home even more beautiful. Would recommend it to anyone! Very affordable and very flexible owners.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Thank you for sharing your home with us, we had a wonderful family get together to celebrate Christmas! The home is spacious, accomadating and cozy. Our expectation of the home was beyond met; very clean and everything in working order. I recently stayed at this home for a girls scrapbooking weekend and we had a wonderful time! The layout of the main floor is nice and spacious - perfect for a large group! And the location of the home is ideal for a quiet and relaxing vacation. I couldn't imagine a more beautiful setting! The place was wonderful! We were gathering for a wedding. Babies to grandparents and 2 dogs. The place accommodated us beautifully. (Thank you for the bathrooms on all 3 floors.) The house was spacious and very comfortable. The wrap around deck was used a lot. We never felt on top of each other. The kitchen was large containing everything we needed for the wedding celebration. Everyone raved about the place. My husband and I particularly loved sitting on the deck and listening to the creek. Aesthetically the house was beautiful. From the stone floor, the colors, and all the little details. I loved the tree trunk going up the stairs. Thank you for making our joyous time better.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We stayed at this wonderful home Labor Day weekend. Our mornings were filled with the relaxing sound of the White Salmon River flowing by as we ate our breakfasts on the deck. Afternoons were enjoyed on the flanks of Mt. Adams adventuring and picking Huckleberries. The evenings again spent relaxing, eating and listening to the river song. The home is very comfortable and accomodating. We enjoy cooking and found the home well stocked with quality cookware. One small complaint...the home desperately needs a wine bottle opener as the corkscrew attached to the can opener required a tremendous amount of muscle power to operate ;^) In short, I would highly recommend this home and location for anyone looking for a quiet getaway in a wonderful area.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Our extended family of 12 loved our stay in this beautiful home! It had everything we needed and more! The layout was perfect, everything was clean and well maintained, every bed was exceptionally comfortable with great linens throughout, the kitchen was complete and a joy to prepare food in. The decks were beautiful and so relaxing with the sound of the river in the background. The views were gorgeous, and we had plenty of outdoor dining space and space for yard games. In the evenings we enjoyed the campfire hangout and had lots of great family time together. Our party ranged from GREAT-grandpa and grandma, our adult children, our 3 year old grandson, and the dog...everyone was happy and comfortable. This property would be great for accommodating all types of travelers. We enjoyed walks and runs leaving right outside the door with breath-taking scenery, including a beautiful horse ranch. We spent some time visiting the nearby destination towns and had an amazing time white-water rafting close by! We did not miss a hot tub or direct cable TV. There were tons of internet service movies to choose from for those who chose to stay indoors, and the internet access and A/C was greatly appreciated by many. The owners were really wonderful to work with and we felt it was a privilage to spend time in their beautiful home on this spectacular property! About the owner: We are the Hansen family and are the original owners of the property. We grew up in Trout Lake which was a childs dream. Our family has since moved out and now own an Eyecare business in West Richland, Washington.
Why the Owner Chose Trout Lake:
I was born in California, may parents at the time felt like the hussle and bussle of the large city wasn't the best place for them to raise a family. They purchased the property in Trout Lake, and went on the build my parents dream. After all the children moved out, my parents moved away as they could no longer care for the expansive home and property alone. I then took over management of the home and property. We want to keep the home in the family, and see the great potential it has to provide and amazing place for families to get away. Something happens to families that is hard to explain when they get away and have a chance to spend time in our home in Trout Lake. Their is a peace that resides. Everything that takes away from true quality family time, doesn't exist there. It clears your mind and redirects your focus to your self, and your loved ones.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
We love spending time with our family in this unique home and setting. We enjoy sitting on the porch looking at the river, listening to the birds sing. We have deer that love to spend time on our property, we sit and watch them graze in the front yard. The evenings are cool, so we love to gather on the large porch, and BBQ while the sun sets. There is a fire pit in the back yard, which is a perfect setting to spend time with loved ones; sitting around the fire with the guitar, roasting smores, and making apple pies.
