The condo was just as described and pictured-very relaxing and convenient. The ocean view was calming and the breeze at night was great from the balcony. The condo was clean and had everything we needed including basic staples. The security was amazing and everyone was very helpful and pleasant. The location of the condo was fabulous. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning for breakfast and just to relax and read. We were able to take the elevator and walk through the lobby and straight onto the beach. Loved walking on the beach several times a day. We had a great time in San Juan and were able to save some money as well by cooking some meals at the condo. We visited some of Old San Juan’s awesome sights. Recommendation: Driving is crazy with erratic drivers, poor signage, rough roads, and limited parking....consider taxis, tours, or public transportation to get around.

Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Nice Condo, Comfortable and Great Ocean View

The condo was exactly as described and pictured. The ocean view was lovely and the breeze at night was great from the balcony. The condo was clean and had everything we needed, including things like beach chairs, beach towels and simple things like Band-Aids and aspirin. The security is also quite impressive, there was a doorman on sight all the time who was very helpful when we needed directions or asked him any questions. Jimmy the owner was very professional and accommodating, he sent us the keys promptly after payment and a long list of suggestions on restaurants, food markets, and points of interest etc. I thought this was very nice of him to be so thorough. The location of the condo was great, we were able to take the elevator and walk through the lobby and straight onto the beach. We have 3 kids and everyone felt at home and enjoyed! We had the best time in San Juan and were able to save some money as well, by cooking a few of the meals at the condo before we left to visit some of San Juan’s awesome sights. We went hiking, rock climbing and swimming at the rain forest El Yunque, we enjoyed picturesque Old San Juan and El Morro and Forte de Christobal. Our whole family left very pleased. If we could have stayed longer we would have. However we had a family wedding in Aguadilla. Thanks Jimmy for making our brief stay in San Juan a pleasurable one. We will definitely come back!

Four of us stayed quite comfortably in this wonderful condo - Jimmy and Vi have gone to great lengths to make sure that all amenities are available, and all of our needs were taken care of! The view is stunning (right on a beautiful stretch of beach), and it is convenient to everything. Staying here made our vacation so comfortable and relaxing...thanks again for your hospitality!!

Excellent Beach View

My husband and I and two teenage sons stayed at the condo for a week. The beach view from the balcony was fantastic! The condo was clean, spacious and well furnished with plenty of beach items. The location was very central to shops, restuarants and Walgreens. We liked the underground parking to keep the car cool and off the street.

My family of 5 stayed here on a recent vacation to Puerto Rico. It was perfect for us. The location is great - near restaurants, stores, car rental, bus and taxi stops. We used it as our safe and comfortable home base to explore the "enchanted island". Not a far trip to Old San Juan, the airport, El Yunque and numerous beautiful beaches. But the view from the condo balcony of Isla Verde beach is as good as any you will see - just amazing! And everything you could possibly need (towels, dishes, beach chairs, refrigerator, stove, etc.) is included with the rental. And the condo owner is great - he called me both before we arrived and when were at the condo to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything, A fantastic gentleman. We were totally satisfied with our rental and hope to return to this paradise someday... P.S. don't forget to feed the sugar birds that come to visit on the balcony every day. Thank you Jimmy! I vacationed with my teenagers, who know how to whine and complain. They LOVED the condo! We spent hours on the balcony enjoying the view and the ocean breeze. We appreciated the breathtaking sunsets, the ease of getting down to the beach, and the spaciousness of the rooms. Everything we needed was on hand (plenty of towels, beach chairs, beach balls, boardgames, etc.). The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the owner was very accomodating to our needs (i.e. early check-in). The location was ideal: close to the night-life of Isle Verde, great little restaurants. A short drive into Old San Juan. An easy hour's drive to El Yunque Rainforest. We had a lot of fun. Cant get better than Perfect!

This is a superb location! Great for family or not. We took our 6 year old son and he LOVED it. Great views of the ocean. The condo is right there on the ocean as advertised. All of the rooms are nice size with plenty of elbow room. Very clean. Casinos are near. Restaurants are near. The ocean is great and they do groom the sand every morning. The owner Jimmy called to check in with us shortly after our arrival and what a sweety he is! Thanks Jimmy! This was by far the best value. We will be back!

Just wanted to say my daughters and I had a great time. The condo was definately better than a hotel room. We were close to all we needed during our stay. Great ocean view! Enjoyed trying the local restaurants. Felt very secure here. Looking forward to my next visit. Thanks again Jimmy!

We were able to fly out without a problem, but thank you for the offer of a FREE extra day.We enoyed our stay in the apartment, its location and view are fantastic. We really enjoyed feeding the sugar birds on the balcony.

Boy, do we miss Puerto Rico. The view in the AM sitting on the balcony with a cup of the delicious local coffee, swimming in the warm ocean water....in the mid 80's. Hope you get down here and out of the cold.We want to wish you a wonderful Holiday stay.

My neighbor and I stayed at the condo for four nights before our cruise. It was clean, very secure, and well taken care of. Our matress was comfortable and we had all the supplies that we needed to cook with. I really appreciated having a tv in my bedroom because I could have my own privacy at night, and not disturb my friend if I chose to stay up later. We spent a lot of time out on the balcony. Believe me, It was a million dollar view. So beautiful. A short walk up to the main street(which I can't remember the name now) Jimmy will tell you. We got the bus to Old San Juan in front of "The El San Juan Hotel and Resort". The restaurant "Chilies" is across the street. It was very good with moderate prices. The supermarket called 'Pueblos' is up the street from Chilies. Just walk up to where Chilies is and ask somebody on the street. We always found someone on their way shopping. Anyways. just to let you know.Jimmy handled all our communications about the condo in a friendly, and thorough manner. He replied to my questions very quickly and he returned my deposit when I would have expected it to be returned. I would definitely recommend anyone a stay in Jimmys' condo. I love Puerto Rico and I plan to come back the next time with my husband. Hopefully the condo will be available. Thanks so much Jimmy.

Exceptionally Convenient

I stayed in October 2010 and I have to say this was the first time I stayed in a condo, usually I stay with family and the best thing I could have done. This condo was exceptionally convenient to everything. The owner thought of everything. I loved the sugar birds that visited us every morning.

Uncommunicative after rental and slow in returning deposit

Initial encounters with Jimmy (owner) went well, and the rental itself was as described. View is wonderful, although location was a bit difficult to find. Security was a bit of a pain when first accessing the building, and also at checkout since the gate remote had to be left in the apartment. Deposit won't be returned until the phone bill clears, which for us was 2.5 months after our departure. During that period, we tried to contact Jimmy multiple times without much of a response until the very tail end. We have rented through VRBO for many locations, and have never encountered this kind of experience when trying to get the deposit back. It makes us want to rethink the value of VRBO due to the hassel factor. He otherwise would have gotten at least a "Good" rating.

Owner response: First of ALL, this is absolutely the very FIRST negative review we have EVER received. Not only do I find your comments unreasonable, BUT ALSO UNFAIR. Unfortunately receiving our Long Distance Telephone bills from Puerto Rico are always very much delayed. That's why we specify in our Lease it could be as much as 6 weeks. We regret that yours took 8 weeks. (YOU LEFT CONDO ON AUGUST 11TH, YOUR DEPOSIT WAS MAILED ON OCTOBER 12th. This Deposit was delayed due to very unusual CIRCUM STANCES. While we were at our condo in PR, on September 14th; we received a telephone call message that our Home of 38 years in New York was on FIRE, (IT BURNED DOWN). I am sure you can imagine what this does to your life; LIKE tun it UPSIDE DOWN. Your criticism about DIFFICULTY finding the OCEANFRONT CONDO; is very hard to understand. There's only one beach in ISLA VERDE and we are on it; between the El San Hotel, and the RITZ CARLTON, as the MAP SHOWS. YOUR SECURITY comments, although you found it restricting; almost everyone comments on the excellent SECURITY measures we have in place; being away from familiar surroundings, and like being in a different COUNTRY. THE renters find the DIRECTIONS and map that we send to them not only easy to READ, but very easy to follow.(CHECK ARE PREVIOUS CRITIQUES) Being at most 2 miles from the airport, how difficulty could it be (2 right turns,then a left turn, then a right turn, and a left turn) Cordially, Jimmy

We stayed in this condo in July 2010. We were a group of 5 vacationing and attending the 2010 Salsa Congress. The view is excellent & we were within walking distance to the Salsa Congress. We walked to the beach, restaurants, market, and clubs. We visited Old San Juan, Pinones, beaches and other beautiful places. We wish we had more time though. We love Puerto Rico. This was my fifth visit and this condo provides exactly all you need wether you are with family, friends, or partner. Thank you Mr. Cope for answering all my questions.

Dear Jimmy and Vi, My husband, son, daughter-in-law, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your condo. It was exactly as described. You were so patient answering my various questions before we arrived. As everyone before us has stated, "The views are breath-taking!" We spent many, many hours enjoying the comfort of the veranda. We just came home from an 8-day visit to PR while staying in this condo. It has all you need - a great balcony with a wonderful view, beach front, pool, A/C in the bedrooms, and easy walking distance to restaurants (Metropol and La Playa were our favorites), stores, and public transportation. Everyone is very security-minded with numerous gates and frequent police patrols, so we felt very safe. We enjoyed our stay very much! Thanks, Jim & Vi!! We fed the bananaquit, too!

Third visit and look forward to many more. Delightful, responsive owners, timely, thorough instructions (when followed correctly) and suggestions for local eateries. Unique location: Side street with local ambiance but between upscale casinos and restaurants. Ready access to tourist avenue (USA fast food, if you must) a full service supermarket and easy access to buses to San Juan. Then there is the view! Facing north and on the east side of the building, you enjoy a shady cocktail watching the beach slow down. The condo is very well stocked and well kept, even with paper backs and beach chairs. It is meticulously maintained and very securely guarded. All of the locks are a small price to pay for being off of Tourist Alley and street security is aggressively maintained. Have recommended to 55+ and people who have trouble getting around.

What a wonderful place ! The owner, Jimmy was excellent,he gave us perfect instructions on what to do and expect upon arrival,everything workout exactly as he said. The local Pueblo supermarket fantastico. I felt like I belong there and wish that we could have stay longer. The views are truly incredible !!!
