We stayed here in 2008 and loved it. Gorgeous, comfortable home with all the amenities. The deck has views of ocean and mountains with a beautiful and large Mexican tiled table. We cooked many dinners there and had fun entertaining our sons and friends who were spending the winter fishing near by. Two bedrooms-one up and one down, so it works well for two couples. No laundry, but this can easily and cheaply be done in town.
Owner response:We love our decks as well. The front deck with the big built in tile table is perfect for entertaining, especially at sunset!!

We had a great stay at Casa Maisie. There were four in our group (two couples) and we had plenty of room at the house. The outside seating areas are well positioned so you can get early morning sun in the back when it is cool or lay in the shade in the front with a view of the ocean to the East and mountainscapes to the NNW. The beach is a 5 min walk away with the kiting beaches just round the point to the south about a 7 min. drive. The center of town is about 10 minutes away where you can find grocery stores restaurants and retail shops. There is not much you can’t buy in town. Casa Maisie is well equipped with many amenities. We prepared most of our meals at the house and had plenty of pots, pans and cutlery. The home is located in a quite neighborhood and all of the windows and doors have screens so you can leave them open during the night and listen to the ocean waves breaking on the shoreline. Casa Maisie is a great place to relax and rest after a long day in the surf and sun.

We were two couples staying at Casa Maisie (one couple had been at Casa Maisie before). We had an excellent time. The house is so conveniently located - close to the beach, and close to town and local restaurants and stores. The recent addition of high-speed wireless internet access in the house was wonderful - we used our laptop computer that we brought and were able to keep in constant contact via e-mail and Skype with our ailing parents. The upper deck is still our favorite spot - great views of the ocean and surrounding area. Waking up each morning to chirping birds in the trees on the property is heavenly. The place is spacious with lots of windows to see the views. By the way, one of us got a bad cough during our visit and he got excellent medical service from the "Amerimed" clinic in town. And we found a great restaurant called "Otra Vez" in town that we loved - and where we heard two incredibly talented musicians play. We highly recommend Casa Masie for a wonderful stay in Los Barriles.
