This ended up being a perfect location for our family. We like to drive to various destinations with the kids, but if we didn't go anywhere......Silver Lake was a perfect lake for the kids and fishing. Very Clear. We will rent again next year !Recommended for: Families with young children.

Great location--just steps away from private beach and lake. A short drive to Traverse City and a wonderful home base for day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Torch Lake. The cottage was very comfortable for our family of 4, very clean, well maintained and ready for our arrival.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Great location, 5 minutes from Traverse City shops. restaurants, etc., and an easy drive from some other area attractions like Sleeping Bear Dunes and Torch Lake. A nice quiet relaxing place. Beach was very nice. Spent quite a bit of time sitting in a camp chair at water's edge, cooking out on the grill, or sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. We have a three year old, and she thought it was the greatest. The property was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The owner was very easy to deal with, and represented the property accurately. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area, particulary those with small children.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We had 4 in our party and the cottage provided plenty of space for our family. Private Beach and Gazebo was used daily by my entire family and having access to a dock was a plus. We would rent this cottage again in future yearsRecommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
