Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: We are Karen and Anthony, and we have lived in Las Vegas for over 10 years. We own 20 rental properties, and 12 of them are for short-term/corporate rentals. We have houses, townhouses, and condos. Unfortunately, most of them are located in Homeowner Associations that have rental restrictions and 30-day minimums. This house is in an HOA, but there are no restrictions, and since it has a private pool, we thought we would list it on VRBO. We usually rent for periods of a month or two, and have had a few inquiries from people who wanted to rent it by the week, so we thought we would give it a try.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
We bought this house because it had a pool and thought it would be good for a rental. We have done a lot of improvements to it over the past 5 years, and are always upgrading it to make it even better. It is in the northwest part of Las Vegas, near many of our other rental properties. We are hands-on landlords, so we like to have our properties located near us so we can respond quickly to our tenants needs.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This house is in a convenient location, close enough to the highways and Las Vegas strip to make it an easy drive, but far enough into the suburbs to enjoy the things about Las Vegas that many tourists don't realize, like the excellent city parks, close proximity to Red Rock Canyon, and 'locals' casinos that have great deals.
