We stayed in this beautiful beach-side home in Corolla Light in May 2012, and just loved it! So many amenities, so clean and beautifully decorated and convenient to EVERYTHING! Our family group of 8 had lots of room to spread out and enjoy our time at the Outer Banks. Starting from the ground level: We enjoyed how easy it was to walk out the front door and stroll to the beach, the Currituck Lighthouse, the shops, the walking trails, or to the sound for our evening sunset walks. We enjoyed swimming or just lounging by the pool, and loved having a hot tub as well. We had never played shuffleboard before - that was so much fun to learn! The house has a perfect layout for privacy with it's multiple master suites, and private deck sitting areas. But we found we all gathered in the beautiful great room to watch movies on that humongous flat screen TV with the surround sound!! Several of the adults in our group LOVE to cook, and found the kitchen to be very well outfitted for preparing near-gourmet quality meals each night. We also thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the upper deck off the kitchen area to enjoy the view of the ocean in the evening. This house has it all...upscale furnishings, stylish top notch decor, and the best thing in a beach house - convenience to the beach!! Oh - and an elevator - sure made bringing up the groceries an easy job!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family has returned to vacationing in the Outer Banks after 10 years of Ocean City, Maryland. We decided to try the Outer Banks once again because of the clean houses and less hustle & bustle. Boy, am I glad we did ! This house was absolutely fantastic. I am a corporate chef by trade and found the kitchen to be VERY well equipped.I wanted for nothing when it came to preparing meals.The pool was a wonderful treat and I believe it was occupied for at least two hours every day.The pool area is well manicured and allows for a very relaxing atmosphere.We aged from 8 months to 55 years so the elevator became a very welcomed amenity at the end of a day .This house is layed out beautifully and very well maintained.The owner was helpful with any questions I had before renting and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend this georgeous home to my friends and family. We will no longer be renting in Ocean City, Maryland....from now on it will be the Outer Banks !Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The home was perfect for our family vacation. The layout of the house accommodated both adults and children very well. The kitchen and main living floor is great for preparing and enjoying meals together and the views are breathtaking (especially of the sunsets over the sound). We will definitely look forward to our next visit to Knot 4 Sail.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and I just finished a weeklong stay at this lovely house. This was our second time here - the first being back in April during our school District's spring break. We are in love with this house, the amenities, and other local attractions. The house is beautifully appointed and spacious whether 8 people or 12 people. During our week in August, the pool was a big hit with the kids who were sometimes in it as early as 7:30 am. The beach is a short walk away and is very accessible. My children also love the nearby Currituck lighthouse, which they have climbed twice now. This past trip, we did a large family Wild Horse Tour through Bob's which is conventiently located across the street. The entire family also frequented the shops at Corolla Light where there is a wonderful bakery and toy store with unique games and puzzles. We cannot say enough great things about Knot 4 Sale and the surrounding community. During spring break, we enjoyed using the indoor pool which is part of the resort community. On our day of arrival and departure, we used the outdoor pool to maximize our time in the OBX. We plan to be back next year and highly recommend a vacation at Knot 4 Sale in Corolla Light.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family and I enjoyed our time in this home. The home was clean and furnishings/appliances were top notch. It has a great view and the decks are a wonderful place to relax. The amenities close by provided many activites for the kids and it was only a short bike ride/ walk away. The public pool was clean and well maintained with a convenient restaurant poolside. However, the kids preferred the pool at the house. The beach is within short walking distance and beautiful. The photos do not do this property justice. It has a fabulous feel to it and we can't wait to return!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

About: My husband and I have grown up vacationing on the east coast beaches for all of our lives. It wasn't until about 5 years ago that we discovered the OBX beaches. We immediately fell in love with the area and decided to look for a second home. We looked for a OBX home for about a year but we weren't able to find exactly what we were looking for, so we decided to build it instead. We thought Corolla Light was an amazing community and offered all we wanted. Fortunately for us, and you, we found this wonderful, very high sitting lot in Corolla Light to build on.
Why Corolla Light:
We spent many hours ironing out the details of the plans and hope you can appreciate the final outcome as much as we have.
Our home is named 'Knot 4 Sail' and the flags on the house sign spell out our last name in nautical letters. We hope the house will be a vacation spot for our family to gather for many years to come when our children are grown with families of their own. Until then we are blessed to share our home with families such as yours.
