Casa Marisa is a very beautiful, uniquely designed comfortable house. It is set within a large private garden with direct access to the famous Cocles beach. The house has both ocean and jungle views. This house is a two bedroom, 2 bathroom bungalow and comfortably sleeps 4 people. The unique design of the house provides tranquillity and privacy.
The house is securely fenced and alarmed. There is a safety deposit box supplied for your convenience.

My wife and I stayed in Casa Marisa in January and we were blown away! We have stayed in the area before, but we have never had the luck to find such a beautifully designed house in such a prime location! The gate at the bottom of the garden leads directly onto a really beautiful, quiet spot of Cocles beach; not many houses in the area have such privileged access! As for the house, well, what a gorgeous design! It is built in three sections. The master bedroom is elevated with a private terrace overlooking the garden. The bamboo four poster bed is a work of art and the beamed ceilings are stunning! The second bedroom, is very cute, but there were only two of us, so we didn't use it. The two bathrooms with tropical showers are fabulous!! The river rock and mosaic tile design work perfectly in this jungle setting. The living area is comfortable and the kitchen gave us everything that we needed to cook for ourselves and make some mean cocktails to drink on the dining terrace! This became a habit; as the sun went down we'd sit on the terrace, sipping cocktails and watching the amazing wildlife. We saw toucans, a sloth, monkeys and humming birds directly in our garden, as well as an abundance of butterflies! The gardener also chopped a hand of ripe bananas down off the tree which we ate every morning for breakfast; it doesn't get more tropical than that!! This house is a gem and very reasonably priced for the standards of design and large tropical garden with direct beach access. It is well worth the experience, we'll be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, people with disabilities, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We have only recently offered this house for vacation rentals and it is great to know that others enjoy our beautiful property as much as we do. The location really is a little piece of paradise and the direct beach access is something that really sets the house apart from most others in the area. We have also worked really hard on the design of the house and certainly the friends that visit whilst we stay there always comment on the stylish and original design.

Marisa House is a beautiful and lovely place. Jardens are just beautiful, the house is clean and organize. You can hear the sound of the waves from any room in the house.... love it! We enjoy a lot our staying.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our team work very hard to maintain the beautiful, tropical garden and house to maintain the high standards that we expect. Short Term Rates: 7 night minimum booking High season (Dec 1st to April 30th & July 1st to August 31st) $850 per week. Xmas/New Year $1000 week. Low season (May 1st to June 30th & September 1st to November 30th) $750 per week. Long Term Rates - over 6 weeks Monthly rentals range between $1800 and $2500 depending on the season. Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: We are Richard and Sophie Atkins. We bought the beautiful plot of land where our houses are situated whilst on holiday in Costa Rica. We are English, but live in Spain. We fell in love with Costa Rica and the beautiful plot of land situated directly on Cocles Beach stole our hearts. We were then subsequently fully involved in the design and build process of our two beautiful houses. The properties are our dream and we know that you will enjoy sharing a little piece of tropical paradise.

Costa Rica offers a wide variety of spectacular terrain , animals and plants. With its unique location it boasts both Pacific and Caribbean coast lines. The Caribbean Coast offers a more relaxed friendly holiday with the added excitement of some extreme sports, for those who want to venture away from the delicious local food, drinks and beach. There are many reasons why Puerto Viejo is known as the most happening town on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. There is so much to see and do here, but far and away the overall vibe here is the 'pura vida' that Costa Rica is so famous for. So whether you come to relax under the palms on one of Puerto Viejo's beautiful beaches or try and tackle the surf at Salsa Brava (just 100 yards away) or Cocles, there is also great snorkelling and diving in the areas active coral reefs. Or how would you like to hike and bike through the jungle? There is also excellent white-water rafting in the area. It is all possible here.
