The apartment was beautiful and accurately portrayed through the photos. It was clean with comfortable beds, linens and great amenities. The owner greeted us, was gracious and helpful in orientating us and answering any questions or concerns. The location was near Coit Tower and walking distance to North Beach and the Embarcadero. It has a parking place included which is difficult to find in San Francisco. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with or without a car since public transportation is conveniently nearby. We will definitely return to this gem of an apartment in a fantastic city.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This lovely apartment in charming Telegraph Hill was the perfect place for our Christmas week in San Francisco. The location was ideal--and the apartment itself was absolutely spotless, well appointed, and quiet (the bedrooms are in the back). I did a lot of cooking--including Christmas dinner--and the kitchen contained just about all the equipment I needed. The parking space is an extra bonus, given how difficult it is to find street parking in SF. Highly recommended!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Our family of 4 stayed at this 2 bedroom apt for 3 nights and it was perfect. The owner was gracious and kind even though we didn't arrive until midnight! They thought of everything we needed including coffee, tea, paper towels, and a huge bowl of delicious fruit!!! Plenty of towels, hot water and comfy bedding. You can walk almost everywhere.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This SF apartment delivered everything it promised and more. Our family of 5 enjoyed a very comfortable 4 day stay. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped, the linens of high standard, shower great and everything you could possibly need had been thought of and was on hand. It had quite a charming atmosphere and was well located with good access to local services and tourist activities - tho the kids did complain a bit about the hill after a busy day sightseeing. The parking spot and laundry facilities were really useful to us on a 4 week US visit. Thanks for the lovely fruit basket, much appreciated!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Clean, updated, comfortable flat. A perfect place to stay in San Francisco. The Telegraph Hill Location is exactly right. Walk to everything: North Beach, downtown, Nob Hill, Financial District, Chinatown, Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf. The one off-street parking place is essential for us as parking in this neighborhood can be next to impossible. Everything was as advertised. The owner lives nearby and met us for a 10:30 pm arrival, helped us with our luggage, explained everything about the flat. I am sure he would have answered any question about the City, but we had none. The flat is in good order and very clean. Don't tell anyone about this place! Keep it a secret! We will return, for sure!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Appreciate this kind and thoughtful review from our recent guest, especially his comment that this flat is, "A perfect place to stay in San Francisco." Though he requests that we "don't tell anyone about this place" so that it's always available for his return, we hope that many more future guests will experience the comforts and convenience that he enjoyed.

We've just got back from 10 days in this apartment - given it was a 10 day stay, we didn't want to be 'trapped' in a hotel. The position is excellent - within walking distance of places of great variety, from Union Square, to the local cafes, along with Fishermans Wharf and also some other great places. The immediate area is very nice - quiet, safe, tidy. We covered most of the city, and there were few areas that we could find that rivalled it. Also, if you're planning on having a car, the parking is invaluable - while there is lots of street parking in San Francisco, it is typically full - a few night-time excursions to other parts of the city were abandoned as we were driving round in circles for ages. There was plenty of local transport, right on the doorstep, so you could reserve car use for out of city trips. The apartment itself is a great size, well decorated, extremely clean and well equipped. The large TV is like home from home, and although i'll never get used to the vast number of adverts on US TV then the Cable TV gave access to many channels, including sports. Both bedrooms are a good size, the bathroom shower produces a good steady flow of water at a constant temperature, the kitchen has the essential coffee maker, large fridge freezer. All good. There were so many local restaurants that we played it lazy and didn't cook much - but the kitchen had all the essentials! As others have mentioned - Lou was a great host, he walked us around when we arrived and was as helpful as you could ask for.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Best vacation ever! The location of this apartment is perfect, spacious and immaculately clean. The best part for all of us was our landlord Lou. He was the most gracious host we have encountered. He met us at the apartment and gave us a tour and suggested many places to visit. There was a beautiful fruit basket from Lou and his wife for which we were very grateful for after our long flight from the East cost. The views around the apartment were spectacular and we loved walking around the area admiring the beautiful architecture. Since we were just a short walk to the Italian section of the city we ate there several times at some wonderful restaurants. We did not know when we booked the trip that this was Fleet Week in San Francisco and there was so much to see and do. The Blue Angels put on an air show while we were there and Lou graciously invited us up to his roof deck, two doors away, to watch the spectacular show. This is something our family will treasure forever. We loved San Francisco and we are already talking about a return trip and 312 Lombard is where we would stay. Thank you Lou for a very memorable trip.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This property is exactly as presented. We arrived on short notice and Lou went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable, including fresh fruit when we arrived. If you are looking for a super clean place with great furnishings in a superior location, this is it. We stayed 5 nights without renting a car as most desired activities are within walking distance or short cab ride. Thanks again Lou!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
