My husband and I love our Sand Key condo. I am adicted to views. When we are in the condo we are surrounded by stunning gulf views from the living room and bedroom. We even installed mirrors in the living room to reflect the water views inside the room! When I look out of the kitchen and 2nd bedroom window the glorious vista of Clearwater bay makes me smile. There is a little island in the middle of the bay and I love to watch the boaters as they dock there for a swim. The yatch club across the street and down a few blocks gives sailing lessons. Watching the groups of sunfish sailboats floating around the island as I drink my morning cup of coffee is one of the little pleasures in the condo that I look forward to. At night Clearwater bay is lit by the lights of the homes surounding it as well as the moon and the skyline of Clearwater beach.
There is so much to do in the area for recreation but sitting on the balcony is like sitting on the beach. I also love seeing the dolphins swim by, both in the gulf and a the bay. And the sunsets from the balcony, Wow!
Why the Owner Chose Sand Key
When we purchased the condo we told the realtor one thing, I don't want to have to turn my head to see the gulf. So many of the the "gulf view" condo's they showed us were really "gulf view" if you stand on the balcony and look to the side and if you look just right, you see water. That kind of view. When we walked into our condo, my husband and I both looked at each other and nodded. This was it! The view doesn't get better than this!!! We are on the ninth floor of a 20 story building. If you are too low your view is obstructed by the palm trees and if you are too high the beach is too far away to enjoy. Our condo is "just right", the vista are perfect.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
So, needless to say we are hooked on the view from the condo! OH, and did I mention the sunsets! Wow! It is a celebration every evening! Of course the beach is meant to be enjoyed also. Just a quick elevator ride and you are on the beach or at the pool. Our pool is special because it is always in the sun and not shaded by the building, Yes, it has shady areas at the pool to lay in but in all the other buildings around the area the pools are in front of the building and shaded most of the day by the building which makes it less comfortable on those perfect 70 - 80 degree days. If the views, the beach - you can walk for miles - and the pool are not enough activity for you, the property offers tennis courts, a basketball area, shuffleboard and a putting green. There is a great shopping center across the street and down about 2 blocks with shopping, a mini mart, 3 restaurants, beauty parlor and a donut shop. The trolley comes by every 30 minutes if you want to hop on to go to see other areas of the beaches. It runs from Clearwater beach to St Petersburg. Most people find it best to rent a car, we have private parking under the building for our condo. We had an ABSOLUTELY GREAT TIME!!! A beautiful Condo!! We were able to attend Busch Gardens, go Para-sailing, go on a Dolphin Cruise, do some shopping and of course spend PLENTY of time at the beach & pool where we met some great people and made some new friends. The Staff at Lighthouse Towers were out of this world!!! They truly made our stay complete! We are looking forward to a return trip
