A 4000 square foot haven for winter, spring, summer or fall – this Utah vacation home has something for everyone whether you ski, bike, hike or just enjoy the quiet solitude of the mountains. The spacious condominium has 10 beds and sleeps 16-20 people. When you awake in the morning refreshed, you are only 8 minutes from Alta and Snowbird Ski Resorts or out your front door for a picturesque hike or bike ride. After a day of activity, enjoy the ease of a casual dinner in many of the restaurants located in Cottonwood Heights, Sandy or take a short 20 minute jaunt to Downtown Salt Lake City for some of the amazing culinary offerings the city has to offer. This condo is licensed by Salt Lake County.

Main Floor: Access the main level by entering the front door or via the two car garage. enjoy a full eat-in kitchen w/island New cook top, New microwave oven, New oven, New refrigerator/freezer w/ice maker, New dishwasher, trash compacter, service for 16, utensils, pots and pans, etc, formal dining area with seating for 8 - 12, sunken sitting area with built-in wrap around seating and new Jotul fireplace, living room, powder room, and a family/TV room with a full wall of glass opening to the balcony. TV has DirecTV service.
Upper: The 900 square foot master suite is a getaway in itself with a king-sized bed, and a queen-sized futon, dramatic skylights, TV with satellite DirecTV, separate bath area with two vanities, walk-in closet, enclosed toilet and bidet, a stall shower, jetted tub, and dry sauna.
Bedroom 2 has both a king and a queen bed while Bedroom 3 has a queen and a twin plus a fireplace. A laundry room with washer, dryer and sink is conveniently located on this level.
There is a full bath on this upper level for bedroom between bedroom 2 and 3.
Loft: Accessed by a spiral staircase from the upper level, the loft is finished in natural wood and has four twin beds and a couch.

Convenient Access to the Ski Slope:
Due to all the amazing powder that Alta and Snowbird ski resorts offer during winter, the Salt Lake County Sheriff closes Little Cottonwood Canyon for avalanche control work when necessary in the morning just prior to the resorts opening. The closure takes place 1 mile west of the rental condominium. The proximity of the condo provides the ability to be ahead of all the traffic that is waiting at the road block when the canyon opens for uphill traffic. You can expect to be up the hill and on the slopes much faster than the majority of the skiers commuting from other areas of the city. Alta Bird 2 was enjoyed by the whole group of guys that have been getting together for some serious skiing for 20 years. We enjoyed the property because it was right at the bottom of Llittle Cottonwood Canyon.Less than 15 minutes from Snowbird and Alta in traffic. It was clean, comfortable, functional, and affordable. Dealing with the property manager was a joy.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers.

We have stayed at Josh's condos twice .Each one different and just a well kept. They are always clean and we had everything that we needed. The views are wonderful and being from Texas the mountains and snow are excellent. We come once a year to ski and when we bring all of the family we willl always try for these condos first. The location is perfect and lets us get a jump on the crowds going up the mountain. Our family now thinks it the only place to stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Spent a week here with 2 other dads and 6 kids ranging from 6-11 in ages. The 4 boys loved hanging out in their "man cave" on the top floor. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The condo is 15-20 minutes from Alta and Snowbird and 10-15 minutes from shopping in the Sandy area- very convenient location. We stayed over New Year's week and never once had to wait for the lifts. The condo was clean and comfortable and Josh was very easy to work with. Pictures are an accurate depiction of the rental-- my expectations were met. All in all, a very satisfying rental experience. I recommend without reservation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Christmas holidays of December 2011, my family rented Alta Approach #2 from Josh Linker, Alta Approach Properties. From my first contact until the day we returned the house keys to Josh, we enjoyed working with him. He takes pride in his properties and addresses anything urgent immediately. Though the snow conditions were awful last winter, the family enjoyed the lovely, spacious and comfortable home. The beds and bedding were great. The home was neat, clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. I¹m the cook for the skiing family and I found more than I usually find in most of the homes I¹ve rented. We plan to return to Salt Lake City in the future and I would definitely contact Josh first for availability. We highly recommend the Alta Approach properties.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
