This beautifully decorated home is located in the Village of Duval, just a quick ten minute golf cart ride to Lake Sumter Landing Market Square and minutes to the Duval Neighborhood Recreation Center, Truman Village Recreation Center or Sea Breeze Regional Recreation Center. Here you'll find swimming pools, billiards room, shuffleboard courts, bocce ball, horseshoe pits, basketball court, volleyball, ceramics/art center, card rooms and so much more! Lake Sumter Landing offers free live entertainment nightly, dancing, movie theaters, dining and shopping. Colony Shopping Center offers Publix for grocery shopping, Walgreens Pharmacy, banking, shopping and dining options and is only a five minute golf cart ride away.
This beautiful home will welcome you the minute you open the front door. With the soft, warm colors of this home you'll feel right at home immediately. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare and serve meals. With the osmosis water filtering system there's no need to buy bottled water. The water from the faucet is just as refreshing as any you can buy. It's also connected to the ice maker. The living room offers plenty of comfortable seats if you're entertaining and a 42 inch flat screen TV for your enjoyment. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, large walk in closet, TV and a private master bath. The master bath has a walk in shower with a seat and comes with towels and linens. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and also has a TV. The lanai is located off the living room and is a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee while reading the paper and planning your days activities. It's also a great spot to fire up the new gas grill for a barbecue with friends.
This home comes complete and includes a new water softening system, a new 2012 gas powered golf cart, WiFi internet connection and two Village resident ID cards (for monthly or longer rentals). With the Village resident ID card you can use any of the 29 executive golf courses with no greens fees. And these executive golf courses are not 'pitch & putt' cupcakes. They present some challenging par 3s and the occasional par 4, with three sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of different skill levels. You pay resident rates on greens fees at the 11 Championship courses. You're also entitled to use any of the family friendly and adult only (30 or older) swimming pools, organized activity swimming pools, bocce ball, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, billiards tables, tennis & pickle ball courts, basketball courts, sand volley ball and over 1000 organized activities every week through the recreational centers.

This home is well-appointed and extremely clean! That was very important to us. The owners have thought of many things to allow for a pleasant stay. The furniture and beds are comfortable. We appreciate the big screen TV and the two small TV's in each bedroom (all of which have cable). The screened in patio affords comfortable dining, also. The property manager, Vickie Joy, is most helpful and available for questions. This is our first day here. We will see how the rest of the stay goes, but we are considering renting it again next year. Thank you, Debby and Jon, for providing this pleasant home.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Reservation deposit is due within 7 days of booking. Amount varies depending upon the length of stay. Reservation deposit will be applied to the rent.
Balance of rent, cleaning fee and security deposit are due 30 days prior to check in date
Security deposit is refundable within 10 days of the check out date after a walk thru and inventory check.

About the owner: Debby and Jon have recently retired from careers in Education. Both worked in their home town where they have lived for 39 years. Both of them grew up on Cape Cod and have lived near the water their whole lives. Debby taught 4th grade and Jon was the Band Director for the high school. Their 2 children attended the schools where their parents worked. They now have 6 young grandchildren under the age of 8! They are both active in their church, and Jon can usually be found on the golf course 3-4 times a week! He also paints and some of his artwork is hanging up in their Villages home. They have friends who recently moved to The Villages, and were encouraged to visit them, which they did in April of 2012. Needless to say, they were hooked!! Once month later, they were the proud owners of their new home in The Village of Duval. Since they recently retired, their children have been enlisting their help as babysitters, which of course, Debby loves!!!! Their daughter works for the School Department in her hometown, and their son is 1 or 7 Tuba players in the Air Force. he will be relocating soon, which will give Debby and Jon an opportunity to travel out of New England! They also look forward to visiting their Florida friends on a regular basis.
