This delightful, detached, Provencal villa decorated in an interesting Oriental style is an ideal family property on the French Riviera. A large, enclosed garden of 2000 square metres, with electrically operated entry gates, surrounds the villa planted with lush palm trees and Mediterranean plants and three different terraces to enjoy that outside dining overlooking the garden and the pool. The original round swimming pool is floodlit which lights up with the garden lighting at night.There is also a new "boules" pitch to enjoy and lots of fun.
The house of 150 square metres is separated into two parts, ideal for two families to enjoy a holiday together whilst retaining their intimacy and independence. There are two double-size bedrooms upstairs with two shower rooms, one en suite, a living room, independent fully-equipped kitchen, and a veranda which houses a second living and dining area. The glass sliding doors from the veranda lead onto two terraces which overlook the pool, the garden, and surrounding countryside.
The lower level houses one bedroom with double-size bed and open kitchen and one bedroom with two single beds. There is access from the two rooms to the shower room with water closet. There is a play area in the garden with swings and a slide for the children.
The villa is situated two kilometers from the pretty Italian-style village of Bagnols en Forêt, situated 18 kilometers from the seaside resort of Frejus with its long, sandy beaches and numerous, water sports activities. There are many festivities in the months of July and August. For those who enjoy golf, there are numerous, 18-hole, golf courses in the region which makes this a golfer's paradise! We are close to one of the best golf courses in the region, "La Terre Blanche" which is only six kilometres away from the villa.
We are surrounded by Mediterranean pine trees with views over the hills and the Gorges du Blavet, a very beautiful spot which attracts numerous visitors. For those who enjoy rambling and cycling, there are various mapped out paths to follow around the village of Bagnols, one of the prettiest being the waterfall of Gourbachin. Easy access to Cannes and St Tropez by the motorway A8 makes Bagnols a superb base for visiting the Riviera or the hinterland villages of the Var countryside. We are 18 kilometers from the Lake St Cassien, a beautiful lake noted for its non-motorized water sports, lakeside restaurants, and boat hire. The seaside resorts of St Raphael and Frejus, the former having its own gaming casino have numerous activities available, such as ice skating, bowling, a huge fun fair and Aquatica, which is one of the largest water slide parks in France. Boat excursions are available to St Tropez and the islands off Cannes for an interesting day out.
Bagnols en Forêt is also on the famous Wine Route, where one can visit the numerous wine vineyards of the "Côtes de Provence" and enjoy the wine tasting. There are four restaurants in the village itself, with two little supermarkets and two bakeries, one of which bakes delicious bread in a woodburning clay baked oven. There are numerous historical sites to visit with the village's own little museum to browse through.
The provencale night markets are open along the seafront at Frejus during the summer with tempting provencale fayre and local produce.
Total relaxation can be enjoyed by the swimming pool or visiting this beautiful region of the South of France. |
