This dog friendly mountain home has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms plus a large rec room. Remodel was completed June 2012 added a new kitchen, bathrooms, furniture and more. The large rec room allows for additional play space and a sleeping area as well.
The living room, dining room and kitchen have an open floor plan and provide a spacious feel. The living room has leather sofas and a flat screen TV.
-A double staircase leads up one side to the master suite. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and its own master bath.
-The second bedroom is quite large and has a queen size bed as well as a set of twin bunks. The second full bathroom is at the top of the stairs and just outside the bedroom.
-The third bedroom is a small bunk room with a set of twin bunks that are perfect for the youngsters, and actually quite comfortable for adults.
-An added bonus is the rec room. This massive room allows guests to play games, watch TV and is a great area for kids. There is queen size sleeper sofa in this room for extra guests.

We loved our stay at this Tahoe home. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood in a great location near Carnelian Bay. Everything has been recently updated with sleek looking and functional improvements. Everything worked great during our stay, and the house was very clean. The kitchen is well apportioned and in a large open space with the living room. The house is ready for families or big ski crews with bunk beds. The bedrooms upstairs are great for adults too. I would definitely rent this home again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

My family and I stayed at this house this summer and were very pleased with our stay. The house was very clean, all the furniture new (unlike many of the past houses we've rented in Tahoe), and the kitchen and bathrooms had modern finishes. The two master bedrooms were both very nice and spacious with tasteful decor. The common living area was quite large and great for our dog and children to run around in. It was great to be so close to the lake and we will definitely stay here again during ski season, as many of the resorts were a short drive away.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Our stay here was most enjoyable! It's very comfortable, clean and sleeps a large party. We liked its location — on a quiet street with easy access to beaches and hiking trails and amenities. Restaurants & the Safeway are just a few minutes' drive away. There are a couple of large bedrooms on the second floor, and a huge family room / well-equipped kitchen plus third bedroom on the ground floor. Having the TV was nice — we watched the summer Olympics, which seemed like a good Tahoe pursuit. Hoping to come back sometime!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

About the owner: I lived in Lake Tahoe for a few years after college and we have been coming back and renting houses ever since. We wanted to have a get away in the mountains that would also be a comfortable place for other vacationers to call home for a few days or a few weeks. Welcome!
Why the Owner Chose Agate Bay:
We chose Agate Bay because it's in the center of everything! Equal distance to Northstar, Squaw and Alpine for skiing. We are close to several great beaches and especially dog beaches. There are hiking and biking trails right at the end of the street. Our house is also close to dining and entertainment options all along the North Lake area.
