ABOVE THE CLOUDS provides the comforts of a fine hotel with the privacy of a mountain retreat. A fully equipped kitchen lets you do your own cooking if you prefer. We feature 2 large bedrooms which comfortablly sleep 4 people. However, we provide large high-rise queen-sized air mattresses and roll-a-way beds which can be used to accomodate additional people if necessary. Call Dave to get details if this option is required.

CLOUD VIEW SUITE
We now have additional sleeping areas. lOCATED ON THE GROUND FLOOR OF THE MAIN HOUSE IS THE CLOUDVIEW SUITE, on location within 100 feet of ABOVE THE CLOUDS. It is a completely furnished one bedroom suite (two queen beds plus extra roll out beds) which will comfortably sleep 4-6 people. The suite has a full kitchen, large living area and satellite TV. Call for details and rates.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Deposits will be charged no later than 14 days prior to visit. Full amount on the day of arrival. Full refund of deposits up to 14 days prior to arrival. Less than 14 days before arrival a credit for future visits will be issued unless we are able to fill the cancelled days. Then, a full refund will be issued. No refund will be allowed for no-shows.

  • Comment Text: Dearest Dave and Carol, My family cannot thank you enough the wonderful getaway that we experienced at your beautiful home. We were plesantly greated even though we arrived late in the evening. Your home is elegantly decorated, clean, cozy & the views are breathtaking. The hottub was a nice relaxing spot to take it all in. My children cried when we had to leave. They enjoyed the fishing pond and all the great hikes and sites that you told us about. Most of all they enjoyed spending quality time with Mom and Dad, the puppies and YOU!!! They enjoyed every minute even though we were all sick. You made sure that we had all that we needed! From the views, to the garden, the hammocks and the hospitality we were truly blessed. God is continuing to use you in amazing ways. Thank you for everything. We highly reccommed "Above the Clouds"!   • When we arrived at Above the Clouds late on Thursday night we knew it was a special place. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The upstairs bed has a super comfortable mattress and both bathrooms are spacious. The cabin is chock full of books in every room. It was not until the next morning that we could really appreciate the outstanding view and beautiful garden and waterfall areas. The cabin was immacuately clean and supplied with breakfast goodies. The hot tub was also very clean and well taken care of. The property overall is very clean, quiet and peaceful. All of these special touches made for a perfect vacation home and a wonderful place to get engaged! We loved Above the Clouds and it will always hold a very special place in our hears.

  • Dave and Carole, David and I truly enjoyed our stay at your chalet. I have two regrets... (1) That I had to attend a conference during our visit and (2) That we didn't understand the extent of how wonderful you were until the day we were leaving. Of course, we loved the chalet. It was breathtaking and the views were amazing. However, what I will never forget is the time of worship we shared with you before we left. I would say it was by accident that you shared your beautiful song with us and the DVD, but I know that with God, there are no accidents. I have been a christian for many years and grew up in a christian home as my father is a minister. But, I was touched and renewed by what you shared with us. Thank you so much!   • Dave and Carole, I'm trying to think of other ways to express how fantastic your place is in a way that is different from what has already been said in the comments from other families who have stayed, but, to no avail. Everyone has already summed up what our family would have said! You two are amazingly generous and thoughtful and it showed up many times in our stay at the chalet. The pristine accomodations, the food in the fridge, the family movies and board games, the inspirational books, the candles lit and the music playing when we walked in......aaahhh! What a welcome experience for the weary traveler! The peaceful environment, the breathtaking view, the comfortable beds, the beautiful grounds and water/flower garden all made for an amazing three days.
