The Farmhouse is located in a secluded setting in Leipers Fork, four miles from Historic Leipers Fork Village, twelve miles south of Franklin and thirty miles south of Nashville. The Natchez Trace Parkway is a little over a mile away and is perfect for hiking, biking, horseback riding and scenic drives.
Enjoy your own private retreat in a storybook setting with charm that never ends. Our beautiful home sits on forty-one secluded acres minutes from Historic Leipers Fork Village. This home is ideal for a romantic getaway, weekend with friends, escape for the whole family, artist / writer's retreat, special events and corporate retreats. Whatever that it may be that you are looking for, you'll most likely find it here.
Our five year old son, Wyatt loves to wake up early to see the family of river otters, catch frogs or go fishing in the pond, eat breakfast on the front porch, make s'mores over the crackling fire in the outdoor fireplace and play countless games of Uno and pool in the game room. My husband, Michael instantly fell in love with the beautiful views and the most amazing lightning bugs we have ever seen - hundreds that appear to be dancing all around you. I love waking up with a cup of tea on the front porch or in the sunroom and watching the catfish jump in the lake, lazy afternoons in the hammock - dozing off while reading a good book, eating dinner together outside on the back deck and listening to the banjo strum sound that the Green Frogs make.
Our home features an open living room with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams and a hand laid fireplace built from stones off the land. The kitchen has granite countertops, a breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances and is stocked with everything you need, from a bottle opener to pots and pans, baking dishes to forks and knives. There is a game room with a pool table, television and a dartboard for endless entertainment as well as movies and board games. The sunroom and master bedroom also have televisions and DVD players. There are three spacious bedrooms in the house. The master bedroom is located on the first floor and has a king sized bed and walk-in closet. The other two rooms have queen size beds and are located on the second floor. An optional inflatable queen bed and two couches will allow for additional guests. Highchair and crib available upon request. The front porch has beautiful lake views and includes rocking chairs, a porch swing and an outdoor table and seating. There is a wood deck in the backyard with an equally beautiful view with a second hand laid fireplace built from stones off the land and a small kid's play structure. There is plenty of open space to play catch or toss the frisbee and a pond near the barn... the pictures say it all.
The Farmhouse truly has a character all it's own... a story to be told, memories to be made... a secluded retreat nestled amongst the trees with wild life aplenty. Sit back, relax and enjoy.

Amazing retreat for our family gathering!
Amazing retreat for our family gathering!

I cannot say enough great things about the property and the owners. My son and I live in Williamson County and I rented the home for a long weekend to host a small family gathering after his graduation. The Arranging our visit and the arrival was seamless. When we arrived we were overwhelmed by the home, the beautiful well-kept property and the personal touches that the owners left for us; snacks for the movies, toiletries, a welcome note, etc. We felt very appreciated and welcomed! The home was spotless, smelled clean and was stocked with everything we needed for the long weekend to cook, grill and enjoy the property. My 88 year old grandmother was able to travel with my parents from Kentucky and she fell in love with the front porch... we could not get her off of the rocking chair. She loves nature and birds and was completely delighted with the wildlife. My father and brother-in-law spent almost 3 straight days at the ponds fishing and my sister and I hiked all over the property each morning. It was perfect! The farm house is very secluded but also extremely close to one of my favorite spots in Tennessee - Leipers Fork Village. This is a beautiful, peaceful retreat and if I'm in need again in the near future, I will most definitely return! Thank you Sarah, Michael and Wyatt.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Our 12th anniversary was Sunday and we had the privilege of spending it here at the farmhouse - what a treasure! We strive for adventures and this was one of the BEST since our honeymoon in Jasper, Canada! The beauty of creation that surrounds this house is like a warm and cozy blanket. The farmhouse inself is like a jewel, a hidden treasure that is constantly revealing itself in new ways, around every corner, at every moment of the day! We are so thankful for this time together and for God's provision through you! We pray that this home is blessed and for every guest to experience as we did. The Farmhouse in the Fork is our new favorite place and we shall share the great treasure with many!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My family experienced a death in the family in a very small area of TN with limited hotel options. I've rented homes in the past for vacation but decided to see what I could find last minute for this unforntunate event. I was lucky enough to find this incredibly sweet home with availability with almost exactly the days I needed with the weeks surrounding my dates rented already. The beds were lush and an incredible comfort after a long day of funeral homes, cemetaries and sadness. Our two boys (ages 4 and 6) were in heaven with grounds which included what the owners call a pond but I'd say borders the size of a small lake, the play ground, and the firepit. It was a peaceful respite from the reality of why we were there. We invited my parents to stay in one of the extra bedrooms in the home. My husband and I spent what little downtime we had almost exculsively in the sunroom staring out the windows at the trees and pond. The seclusion and privacy with not a single other home in view was just what we needed. As an artist, I fell absolutley in love with the very small town just 5 mins drive away, Leipers Fork, it's filled with art galleries! I was in heaven. We had an incredible breakfast at the little diner in town. I find myself thinking of excuses to return. Rent here, you will not regret it!Did you find this review helpful? Oh what a stream in the desert you were to us this week! Just what this family of six needed. The beds were so relaxing, perfect for family cuddles. The fire invited us all day to stay by it's side - reading and playing games. Every detail is beautiful. We LONG to come back again and again!Did you find this review helpful? We have 4 children ranging from 5 to 14. We wanted a "get away" for family time. This house is perfect for us. With three bedrooms and cozy beds we rested well each night. The kitchen was well equipped for dine in meals. The fireplace was kept afire the whole time while we read, wrote, and played board games. The ponds out back provided entertainment for the kids (we did not catch anything but still fun). Distance to restaurants was not bad and we enjoyed hiking the trace nearby.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

About the owner: We stumbled upon Leipers Fork by pure chance in the spring of 2011. We knew right then and there that we wanted to make this special place a part of our lives. Family is extremely important to us and we get such joy watching our son Wyatt enjoy the people and community as much as we do. We want you to enjoy our home and Leipers Fork. If there is anything that we can do to enhance your experience during your stay, please let us know. - Sarah, Michael and Wyatt
