July through mid August is our busiest time of year for lodging and typically fills up with 5+ night stays. We ask for a four night minimum during this time. Two and three night stays may be taken at the last minute (within 7 to 10 days) or when a two or three night window is created by consecutive bookings. Thank you for understanding.
Riverside Retreat is a family friendly home with comfortable living space, a great deck, private pond and 300 feet of river front. This home over looks the Arkansas River along Highway 50 in Coaldale (3 miles West of Cotapaxi and 25 miles East of Salida). Take advantage of 300 feet of river front, fish in the pond (catch and release only), sit in the hot tub, or grill on the sunny deck and watch the deer cross the river. If that isn't enough, there is a pool table, darts, TV, and wireless intenet to keep you entertained. The Retreat is just off Highway 50, but when you are on the back porch facing the river, you only notice the beautiful view of the river and open space.
The living area is open with room to watch a movie and play pool. The kitchen has plenty of room to cook for a large group. There is separate dining space.
Sleeping accommodations include a master suite with a king bed and an attached bathroom with a large tub and stall shower. On the other side of the house there are 2 bedrooms. One has a queen size bed and a twin bed. The third bedroom has a double and a twin bed. There is a full bath between the 2 bedrooms.
There is a new horseshoe court in the front yard. The front porch has chairs for people to watch a game or the deer that are almost always in the pasture across the road in the evening. Enjoy the all day shade and a nice view of the peaks. Springtime brings great Caddis and Blue Winged Olive hatches for great fishing.
Come with your groceries because there isn't anything near by. Salida is a 25 minute drive. It has shops, galleries, movie theatre and restaurants. There is a small General store 3 miles East on the highway.
All vacation homes in the Pinon collection are 'vacation ready' with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish, and shower soaps are provided as well as tp, trash bags and coffee filters. Bring your own paper products (paper napkins and paper towels) and toiletries.
Three night minimum is preferred, however, two nights may be available upon approval with half share of the cleaning fee. Two night stays will not be scheduled over two weeks in advance during High Season and Holidays. Reservations made more than 6 months in advance must pay in full 60 days prior to check in.
Owners reserve the right to accept or refuse three night stays during High Season and Holidays. Nightly fees are based on 6 person occupancy. $10 per person per night applies for groups over 6. A well behaved dog or horse is welcome for $10/night. $45 applies towards the cleaning cost and covers accidental damage protection up to $1500. For stays of less than 3 nights, the other half of the cleaning fee will be charged ($40).
Cancellations made less than 60 days from check in date will be refunded if the reservation can be rebooked. You may wish to purchase vacation insurance.
