This mountain, ranch inspired home is true elegance featuring four bedrooms, a loft and four and a half bathrooms. The open designed layout of this 6,008 square foot home allows the Colorado sunshine to pour in through the windows that line the kitchen, dining and living room. Trimmed with reclaimed barn wood, featuring hardwood floors, flagstone flooring and professional decor it is easy to feel an intense sense of relief.
It's a little piece of Heaven on Earth centrally located just off Highway 9, a quick drive to the Gondola Parking lot in Breckenridge, a quick drive to downtown Frisco shopping, and easy access to I-70. Once on I-70 you are only 10 minutes from Copper Mountain, 30 minutes from Vail and Beaver Creek or take Swan Mountain Road just five minutes north of the house to be in Keystone in 15 minutes where you can then travel to A-Basin.
The living room has plentiful seating on the two leather couches and the two leather side chairs with ottomans while watching your favorite Blu-ray DVD movie on the 47' flat screen TV. For those chilly days, curl up in the living room with a great book and bask in the warmth of the exquisite stone gas fireplace that warms the living room. Just out the large bay doors on the living room is the first walk out patio that provides breath taking views of the mountains and leads to the flagstone outlined fire pit.
The kitchen is crafted with granite countertops, reclaimed timber cabinets and state of the art Viking appliances. The large central butcher block island extends into a cafe style seating for five people to enjoy the home cooked breakfast before hitting the slopes. Once you've cooked your group dinner settle into the dining table with seating for eight. Just off the dining area is the large deck with an immense five burner grill and ample outdoor seating on benches as well as at the table with seating for four. On a warm summer day there is no better deck to bask in the sunlight.
There are two complete master suites, each with a King bed encased in luxurious bedding, flat screen TV's and private gas fireplaces. The bathrooms in the master suites are truly one of a kind; on the main level take a sumptuous bubble bath in the copper claw-foot tub, or enjoy a hot shower in the glass surrounded shower with two rain heads and the on the upper level relax after a day on the slopes in the double head steam shower or take a nice bath in the porcelain, copper backsplash tub. Both bathrooms have two sinks and an abundance of counter space.
The third and fourth bedrooms are equipped with Queen beds and the loft has a skylight Queen bed and a Trundle daybed that provides two Twins each with access to the wall mounted flat screen TV. The lower level rec room has a pool table, foosball table, surround sound home theater and indoor hot tub. In case you need additional sleeping space, there is a couch that provides a Queen sofa sleeper and a Trundle daybed that provides two Twin beds completing the house to sleep sixteen people.
The home is the most private, sits on 13 acres and has lush flowerbeds and lawn surrounding the deck in the summertime. This home also sits in the backyard of the Colorado Trail and Gold Hill Trail for hiking and mountain biking and within walking distance to the paved bike path that stretches all the way around Summit County. There is not a more convenient location to access all Summit County ski areas and attractions; the owners live on property so don't hesitate to ask these 30 year Summit County locals for their favorites! We encourage guests of Ski Country Resorts to take advantage of our complimentary guest shuttle service while visiting Breckenridge!

This is the ideal Summit County location. Central to all ski areas and towns, just 6 minutes driving time to the Breckenridge Ski Resort Gondola Parking lot in downtown historic Breckenridge, and about the same distance from Frisco shopping, dining and restaurants, and I-70. Once on I-70 you are just 10 minutes from Copper Mountain, 30 minutes from Vail and Beaver Creek. Or, take Swan Mountain Road and be in Keystone in 10 Minutes or continue on to A Basin. Super easy to get to and from DIA and I 70. In the summertime, you'll enjoy the Colorado Trail, and Gold Hill Trail for hiking and mountain biking. The trailhead is just minutes from the door. No motorized vehicles allowed. Hike, bike, or horseback only. Bike from the door to the paved bike path that stretches all the way around Summit County and goes to Vail. The views and privacy are fantastic and the location could not be more convenient to all Summit County ski areas and attractions.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
It's an IDEAL SUMMIT COUNTY LOCATION. We lived right in town for a while, east of town for a long time, west of town for 7 years, south of town, and, we LOVE this location. We had our eye on this property back in the late 80's when it became available, but at the time, we were unable to muster the resources necessary to buy the land. The people who bought it in 1990 built the home and developed the land. Then, in 2007 they moved on. Lo and behold, we had another opportunity to get the property we really wanted. We had built a beautiful home up by Peak 10 which we were fortunate enough to sell just so we could buy this place. The house we built and sold was 'perfect' for us, but this location was/is better for us. . . closer to Frisco, I-70, etc. and it's a little lower down in elevation, so the summer is longer, and a little warmer. In 2007 we decided to GO FOR IT! Well, we got it and spent the next three years renovating the house and apartment and now, it's one of my most favorite places in the world. Well I guess it always has been, or I wouldn't be here all these decades later. After you have stayed here, I think it will be one of your favorite places too!

This property is uniquely situated central to all Summit Ski resorts. 6 Minutes to Breckenridge, 10 minutes to Keystone, 10 minutes to Copper Mountain, and just a little bit further to Vail, Beaver Creek, A Basin, Loveland, and etc. Just the sheer convenience of being able to choose between Frisco restaurants, or Breckenridge restaurants when you get to the highway is a HUGE benefit. It's 5 minutes either direction and you're there. In the SUMMER. Hike or bike right off this property to National Forest and the paved bike path. And, at the house, the two really wonderful aspects that we enjoy the most are: ONE, the deck off the kitchen. WOW! Kick back and enjoy the music, the views, the cool breezes floating through the pines and aspen trees. And, secondly, the big, open kitchen. This IS where the party always ends up, right? No problem for larger groups. The pastoral image of horses grazing on a hazy morning. The majestic mountain views. . . the hot tub downstairs. The views of the mountains, the privacy of the large lot, the proximity to all of Summit County, the fenced pastures for our horses, the beautiful barn and covered arena. . . for us, this place has it ALL, including a really nice apartment, where we now live, over the garage. It has a separate entrance from the house and there is really NO sound transference between the two. You can enjoy your vacation to the fullest, right here on Gold Hill. We can arrange for a private ski shuttle, a personal chef, in-home massage, or any other special arrangements. Just let us know what you are looking for in your vacation.
