Discover our completely refurnished home, convenient to all the activities the Hawthorne (and Portland) have to offer. Inviting, clean, and well appointed, with a private deck for coffee before the day starts or a glass of wine at the days end! Whether you want a romantic week(end) away strolling the neighborhoods, a great adventure on the slopes of Mount Hood, or the nightlife of downtown Portland, our home awaits!
For breakfast, take a short walk to Division and head east to the oh so yummy Petit Provence or head west at Division for an exceptional coffee at Stumptown Coffee's original location. After enjoying your breakfast, walk up to 'The Hawthorne' and spend the rest of the day enjoying the neighborhoods, shops, coffee houses, breweries, and theaters that make up this wonderful area.
If you prefer to go downtown, the Pearl District, International Rose Test Garden, Chinese Garden, and Japanese Garden, along with Powell's books and great dining are a short drive or bus ride away. If Skiing is on the Agenda, Mount Hood is just an hour and half drive away, or for the same hour and half drive, grab the beach kit we have prepared for you and spend the day at the beach! If you want a shorter outing, our picnic kit is waiting to accompany you a few short blocks to Mount Tabor park, or further afield, to the Columbia Gorge, either of which is a peaceful place to spend your afternoon.
After a fun day out and about, come home and enjoy the beautiful kitchen with stainless steel appliances and cherry cabinets, grill something yummy on the deck, or head out to one of the local eateries. When it is time to rest, discover the upstairs with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each bedroom has luxury bedding to provide an exceptional nights sleep. The Master bedroom is equipped with a King bed, the second bedroom with a Queen and the final bedroom has a double bed with a pop-up trundle, so do let us know if you would like to sleep two in this room and we''ll make sure it is all ready for you.

About the owner: Hello! We are Lisa, Lori and John, the lucky owners of Home in the Hawthorne. We began visiting Portland on a regular basis in 2003 when our relatives moved here. We fell in love with the city and specifically, the Hawthorne District. We have had great fun preparing the house for our guests and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Hawthorne: Walk-ability! We absolutely love that within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance from the house, we can be anywhere. Five minutes to Stumptown Coffee, Petit Provence Bakery and Restaurant, or the Food Cart Pod on 50th. Ten minutes to Mount Tabor Park or Hawthorne Boulevard, where we can eat, shop vintage or pick-up groceries. Finally, if we need to get down town, we just walk down to Division, catch the #4 bus and we are there!
