We planned a 2 week stay to visit with our son and his family in Encinitas. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is just beautiful and everything is brand new! It is perfectly appointed right down to the very last detail. We were so comfortable and felt as if we were at home. The owner was continuously helpful making sure we had everything we needed to get the most out of our trip. The apartment is in a great location with close proximity to the beach, shopping, and dining. We will definitely plan to stay here again on our next trip to visit with our son & family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I stayed here for the month of December and plan to stay here again. It is a nicely remodeled apartment with a lot of attention paid to the detail including appliances, granite counters, furniture, kitchen equipment, and all the little things. The wifi was great as was the cable TV. Everything is new and very clean and the owners were very prompt and attentive to any questions or requests we had. The location allowed us to walk every day to the beach as well as downtown Encinitas where there are lots of restaurants, shops, etc, even Starbucks and Whole Foods are within walking distance. And lots of opportunities to see the ocean during these walks. Really enjoyed seeing the surfers who are world class. The apartment is in a nice neighborhood too. We recommended it to another friend who rented it right after we left! San Diego is very close and the bus and train are within walking distance for easy trips to downtown San Diego or North to LA too! We plan to come back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We had a wonderful time at this retreat in September. The owners were so considerate and tried very hard to make sure we had a great experience. We were greeted with a bottle of wine and helpful hints about where to eat. The kitchen was small but perfectly outfitted and all updated with high end appliances and gadgets... Everything we needed. It was great to have two flatscreen TVs. The bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom was nicely updated. Overall, a beautifully decorated cosy suite, that was perfectly appointed. The location was great and it was within easy walking distance of two beaches, several great restaurants. The main strip of Encinitas was very close although we usually drove there to shop and pick up food at whole foods. Plus there were two cruiser bikes that were available. It was also very easy to hop on highway 5 to go 20 min south to San Diego or go up the coast North to explore!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Stayed here with my kids for five days in early August, 2012 and we loved it! Beautiful and brand new. Two blocks from the ocean in a great neighborhood. I have friends and relatives in Encinitas, so the location is perfect for us. The owners are great, friendly people and worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed..both for the home and for the beach. I've come to San Diego for vacation many times and this is the place I will be sure to come back to. Best for no more than two, possibly three people, depending on sleeping arrangements.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

About the owner: We originally built this retreat for family and friends but warmly extend you an invitation to enjoy the privacy and warmth that we intended for our extended family.
Why the Owner Chose Encinitas:
Since job duties required that we be closer to Los Angeles, we decided to convert the west side of our lovely home into a retreat that our family could enjoy. We love the neighbors who are always willing to help but respect privacy and we plan to move back here some day. Until then, we hope you can enjoy what we will miss until then.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
The best part of California can be found in Encinitas. One of the last of the state's quiet beach towns, there is a town sign stretching over the main street, which is the Pacific Coast Highway. There are not even any parking meters downtown! Of course the best part of Encinitas is our little retreat, located 2 blocks west of PCH and 2 blocks from the Pacific Ocean.
