About the owner: As a 4th generation San Diego native, I have a long-time love for 'where the turf meets the surf' ~ both the Del Mar Racetrack and North County beaches. My Italian grandfather loved the racetrack and shared many stories of rubbing shoulders with the likes of Gene Autry, Bing Crosby, Betty Grable, and, of course, Jimmy Durante. He taught me how to read a Racing Forum and pick winners at an early age. Growing up in San Diego, I have spent many summers on the beaches ~ sunning, bodysurfing, water skiing, sailing, and deep sea & shore fishing,.. When my husband took a job in the Midwest, it was important to keep our connection to family and friends in our beloved city. This condo will be our treasure on the hill for many years to come as we plan to eventually retire here.
Why the Owner Chose Solana Beach: I consider this area to be the best part of Southern California. It has the most beautiful beaches, best restaurants and shopping and the most laid-back people. It's walking distance to the beach and the racetrack and transportation is easy as it is close to the Solana Beach train station and the I-5 freeway. Many area attractions are within a 20- 30 minute drive, such as the world famous San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, Legoland, Scripps Aquarium, Old Town Historic Park, and many others. The condo itself has a modern look as it has had many upgrades such as granite countertops, stainless appliances, nice furnishings, fresh paint and new carpeting. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots & pans and condiments & spices. The complex has a swimming pool and spa as well as guest parking.
