“La Zidane” and “La Rousseau” are two comfortable and moderately priced suites at Les Olivettes, our stylishly decorated farmhouse in Lourmarin. While our three other rental units are available only on a weekly basis, these two are also available for a minimum stay of three nights.
Lourmarin is widely recognized as one the most beautiful villages in Provence and one of the gourmet dining centres of the region. There are fourteen fine restaurants within easy walking distance of Les Olivettes including Edouard Loubet’s “Le Moulin” with two stars from the Michelin Guide and Reine Sammut’s “La Fenière” which has one star.
The village also has a reputation as a cultural centre: writer and philosopher Albert Camus lived here and is buried in the village graveyard.
The Renaissance château serves as an Arts Foundation for the University of Aix and hosts many concerts and other events year- round. With several fine art galleries and even more fashionable boutiques this picturesque village of 1000 souls, unlike some of the other star villages of Provence, remains largely unspoiled by its recent popularity.
Perched up on a bluff at the edge of the village, Les Olivettes has a panoramic views of the Château and the hills beyond. These are the impressive views you have from the terraces of both La Zidane and La Rousseau.
These two elegant suites are stylishly decorated to the same high standard as the other three apartments at Les Olivettes. They are ideal for those who prefer to eat out and yet may want to be able to make simple meals in their own accommodation. Each has a refrigerator, cooking rings, microwave, as well as a private terrace with a barbecue.
Both of these accommodations provide an opportunity to stay in this very special location in one of the most delightful spots in Provence at an accessible price.

Owner Description
We've been living in the Luberon for.....soooo many years. Twenty to be exact. In fact, our daughter who is just about that age now was born here. So was our son, Pierre, who is now 6'3" and over 15 years old. Anyway, we love the life we have in Lourmarin. We eat very well, drink good wine almost every day and we've made lots of wonderful friends from all over the world running our rental business here. The cherry on the cake is the weather... the sun shines 299 days a year !
