About the owner: Maria Pia. Gertha and Helena are sisters and owners of this beatiful colonial style House. This was their family home, and all grew up playing in the corridors and enjoying all the spaces the house offers. The Marias enjoy a paceful and happy childhood in León, where everybody seems to know everybody and this gives the city a special charm. Currently all three sisters are residing outside León and wish to share with other families their house and the interesting places that historic city of León offers.
Why the Owner Chose Leon:
This property was inherited by their Mother to the Marias and it is a family state. Currently the house is used for family vacations and special holidays. This house is full of beatuful family memories and represents a meeting space for the Family.
All the important and most dear family events are held here using the large Spanish style corridors in a warm family atmosphere. As well, local traditional events such as La Griteria takes place in the house twice a year gathering family and friends to share traditional food, beverage and sweets among them and with other people that come to the celebration.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
León is one of the few colonial cities of Nicaragua and is a beautiful and peaceful get away for the family, specially for the kids who enjoy the house amplitude as well as the simple life in a city like León, where you can walk, enjoy the parks and meeting with friends while seating at your doorstep.
León also offers a pretty diverse night life for those who like bars, live music and discos. The house is located in the heart of the city and all the best places in town to enjoy yourself at night are at walking distance.
For art lovers, there are several art galleries located around the corner from the house where visitors could appreciate modern, clasical and pre colonial art pieces. The local theater is also two minutes walking distance as well as Ruben Darios´ museum and for daily fresh fruits and vegetables you only have to take a five minutes walk to the central market.
The house is well preserved, since it is very dear to the Marias and their families. It combines clasical colonial style furnirture and antiques pieces with modern day facilities and comfort.
