Location: Southport, Boothbay Harbor Area, Mid-Coast & Islands, Maine, USA (About 6 miles from Boothbay Harbor, hour north of Portland)

The Coast House, built in 1895, is located at the tip of Southport Island overlooking Cuckolds Lighthouse. The deck wraps two sides of the house (east and south) and has wicker furniture and redwood furniture. The all-windowed south side of the living room, where Cuckolds Lighthouse can be seen, and the wooden interior makes a warm atmosphere that is all of what Maine could be. Sleep comfortably on the queen-size bed while the children sleep in their next room on their twin beds. The kitchen, albeit small, is furnished with all of the comforts of home. The bathroom has a shower but no tub.

There is a good sized lawn leading down to the rocky coast and off to the left is access to a small cove where, during low tide, you can walk out nearly 100 feet. This allows for a great place for the kids to search out all kinds of small, crawly, critters that live in the ocean. The pier is long and leads to a float where there is a small punt available for you to get to and from your mooring. The swimming is good... cold, but good.

The Coast house is located at the end of the paved road making the traffic a near minimal issue. Town is about six miles north and has many events and activities available. There is an island store about two miles down the road that carries all the essentials.

The Coast House rents for $1000/week, plus 7% lodging tax. Payable at time of
arrival. Payment can be made by cash, money order, or travel's check.
Security deposit: $1000, returned if house is in same order as arrived.
A $400. non-refundable deposit is due within 7 business days of reservations.
This deposit will be applied to rental payment at time of arrival.
